Yea, i was so mad they didn't have a voice over narration saying that. That was a huge part of the fight and they really did the scene and the character a disservice by not having that.

Yeah, they tried to show-don't-tell that passage of time in the anime, adding in stills of a part of the fight the manga just completely time-skips past. But, in the end it just made some anime-only viewers (and some people who did read the manga but couldn't be asked to check if their memory was right before accusing people of laziness) think they cut corners animating that part of the fight, while not really communicating how much time actually passed.

That truth quirk is really something. Hearing your own voice admit things is a psychological shock, but also it’s probably also a burden to the user socially. Most people aren’t always honest when interacting. Imagine if you always got the full truth from others. Probably would hear a lot of things you wish you hadn’t or couldn’t trust anyone.

It's just such an outrageous breach of a persons integrity even for those who always speak the truth to the person who has it. It's probably the same for Nighteye in a sense, but the difference between him and the Yakuza guy is the morals... Nighteye would most likely feel bad uncovering secrets of someone innocent, while this Yakuza fella seem to really enjoy his quirk.

Just to clarify, Mirio was fighting 4 guys, one who made him drunk, one who revealed what his was, one who took away his quirk and one who could kill him if he touched him. And he DOMINATED that fight for 15 minutes straight 5 of those minutes. HE WAS QUIRKLESS before Overhaul finally got a lucky shot on him. And can we just acknowledge the GOAT Miro after all those years he spent mastering his quirk only to have it be removed like that. I was sure he would lose his spirit, but his resolve to keep throwing hands is so inspiring.

It's very important, it wasn't conveyed, but after he lost his quirk, he still delayed Overhaul and fought him back for 5 minutes. He is IMPRESSIVE. it is stressed that without him being able to buy that time, the reinforcements wouldn't have been able to arrive in time and they would've lost. You were definitely underestimating Mirio, I would even say he still won that fight. He's him, he's... POWEERRRRRRRRRR!!

Its still insane too me how skilled Mirio is, even without a quirk he beat the shit out of Overhaul, a guy who could have killed him in a single touch, and also kept him from physically hurting Eri. It is no wonder why they said that Mirio was "the hero that is closest to number one, even among the pro heroes", because even without a quirk he has trained himself to be superhuman. Also for context... it is not stated in the Anime, but in the manga, Mirio managed to keep Overhaul occupied for close to 20+ minutes... and 5 of those minutes were after he got shot, so he fought 5 whole minutes against a guy who could have killed him in one touch WITHOUT his quirk.

20:20 He always wears a mask, besides for his germaphobia and hafephobia, because when he uses his quirk to disintegrate solids like concrete to make the spikes and stuff, it provoques a lot of dust that inhaled too much can cause lung problems, and thats why his yakuza mask has filtrators to breathe. It's also funny to think that Chisaki, a guy with fear of germs and touching people, has received a quirk that needs to touch something or someone with his hands to work, usually destroying everithing and leaving a lot of dust and spilled blood in the process (wich it's also a reason of why he wears latex gloves as part of his germaphobia). It's like Horikoshi laughed at his face when giving him his quirk. Is that, or the fact that having that quirk is what caused him to have those phobias basing it of the flashback when he was a child and met the Hassaikai leader.

I love the way that this show puts a lot of time and effort in to establishing that Twice is not a bad person, just his friends are up to bad things and since they support him when nobody else ever has he supports them with his whole heart. Nemoto (音本) is made of the Kanji 音 (oto) for sound and 本 (hon) for book, like many names or compound words, it uses alternative pronunciation for the root Kanji in his name (音 pronounced as "ne" and 本 pronounced as "moto").

In a 4v1 fight, having to protect a girl who was being targeted with lethal attacks, two of the enemies have guns, all while feeling intoxicated, Mirio continued to WIN for an entire 10 minutes. Then, after losing his quirk on top of everything, he STILL fought for another 5 minutes. When Aizawa first said that Mirio was the closest to the Number 1 spot, including the heroes, putting Mirio above people like Endeavor in his own estimation, I thought he might be exaggerating. I now clearly see that he wasn't. Lemillion will stay in my heart as one of the greatest heroes I've ever known for the rest of my days.

This fight gets a lot of unjustified hate in the anime, the still shots at the end do not exist in the manga, instead it cuts off gives a panel of just exposition explaining that he fought Overhaul for 15 mins (5 of which where fought quirkless) and then shows the panel of him impaled at the end. Instead of giving the exposition the anime opted to show the passage of time via still shots instead which Imo is a (le)million times better since it's more in line with the show don't tell writing the series has. People think they butchered the fight and where lazy when in actuality the anime shows more than the manga ever did.

That’s sort of what Chisaki’s whole reason for being introduced was, to demonstrate a Shigaraki that was superior to the one we had now, so we could see the LoV surpass a rival of their own and continue to grow. My favorite evolution of Shigaraki is the one we get next season, although spoilers and all that.

You know it is truly difficult to imagine a hero better than allmight, the guy they built up endlessly but mirio took it, he's straight up just better than allmight and he did it in a single manga volume/episode (actually I think it might have been 2 volumes technically but I don't remember) Allmight at mirio's age had control of his power and was still getting folded by Gran Torino (not that he's bad but you know), mirio came here, started with a shitty quirk that he made op, went into a 4v1 where he had to protect the target and one of them had a literal touch of death, absolutely crushed them for 10 minutes, gave up his quirk and therefore his dream of saving 1million people to save 1 person, then came back to the fight and proceeded to still beat the shit out of the TOD guy for 5 minutes, allmight could blow a mountain and he still couldn't handle a single (very skilled) guy Which I think is not that insane that he's fundamentally better than allmight because mirio's fundaments are built on top of nighteye's whole Career which is built up on top of allmight's career, and while it's still impressive, you still have to be a giant on your own account to surpass allmight, it is expected that someone like him would appear

Honestly if we ever get a time skip i'll be disappointed if mirio isnt a top 10 hero even without his quirk
