So when the higher beings(future evolved humans) dismatled the tesseract, they left him just outside of saturn, near where the first wormhole was, that's why he interected(the first handshake) with Dr. Brand in the spaceship, while they were going through the wormhole to the other galaxy. One thing you need to remember is that, EVERYONE, other than Dr. Brand and Cooper, were 74 years older in the future because of the blackhole. So she would never find Dr. Edmunds because he would've etiher died of lack of supplies or of old age. And Dr. Cooper(daughter) was only alive because of cryosleep.

Romilly is actually a fascinating part in this movie. Such a small role, but David Gyasi obviously really thought about it and managed to squeeze every drop of reserved intelligence and quiet stoicism out of the portrayal - there's a real stereotypically "British", quality to it and it was no surprise to find out, that's where he's from: however, it wasn't a caricature - he played it straight... He turned a bit-part into a truly affecting and unforgettable character, and a calling-card to casting Directors.

Y’all’s facial expressions and when y’all were catching on and the realization came before it was even explained, very intelligent men. I don’t think that Cooper rescued Band. I think that he went to her and helped start the colony in the “past”. His love is what helped him find the correct moment in time for his daughter, and his love for Brand is likely what he had to use to find the moment in time to go back to Brand. I think they likely fell in love and started the human race on that other planet, and Murph saved the people of Earth because they could travel and go out towards Saturn. Cooper went back in time and made the “new Earth” that would later develop humans into 5 dimensional beings, etc. I’m glad y’all enjoyed it. I gave you those for free, but you still have to read up yourself to find out the how it is possible to do "rotation in 1hr or whatever". So you can disagree with Kip Thorne instead, provided you publish your own theoretical physics on gravitational pull that goes against his, as depicted in the movie. I think what some people miss is Professor Brand and Dr. Mann are the typical Humans and Coop is the idealistic one; the one we all want to be but few actually turn out to be … We are selfish and we lie (even with good intentions) to get people to do what needs to be done, in our eyes. Most of us would have pushed the button to get saved, or chose not to go at all. The hero in a story is special because most of humanity doesn’t behave that way. We’d all like to believe we would, but when the chips are down (in such a way as in these types of stories), we usually make the wrong choice.

This is my favorite science-fiction movie. Few viewers understand the idea behind Cooper’s interactions with the past inside the tesseract. It is not time travel, nor a contrivance of the screenwriters. It is a sound, philosophical idea expressed by Boethius (480-524) in his book, “The Consolation of Philosophy.” To explain how God’s omniscience can be reconciled with human free will, Boethius conceived the idea that, for God, all time exists simultaneously (because God exists outside of time). Inside the tesseract, Cooper experiences God’s time, which suggests that the fifth-dimensional beings (i.e., our future selves) have evolved to a godlike state. The movie acknowledges this by saying that time exists as a physical dimension in the tesseract. This conception of God’s time is still held today by many Evangelicals and other Christian sects. I believe the idea is even older, because in Virgil’s “Aeneid,” Aeneas visits the underworld, where all the dead, past and future, exist together.

I somehow missed this in the theater. Someone must have told me they didn't like it. Finally saw it 4 years ago, alone. Called my girl after and said I just watched a movie that that wrecked me and is now in my top 5 . Love watching reaction videos and yours one one of my favorite The score is piercing and perfect. Nolan is releasing it again in IMAX in September for 10 year anniversary. I'll be first in line. Great jobs guys

@DaKidsReact Just finished watching, you guys were amazing. One of the best reactions I've seen to this movie. Appreciate you sharing it with us. If you find an Imax theater playing this near you, I'll pay for your tickets. It's the 10 year anniversary, so many places are replaying it. My local Imax had a Christopher Nolan marathon, so I was able to catch it. I can't wait to see it again. Thanks again guys.

Love your reactions! The footage about the dust bowl in the beginning came from a documentary, all except for the actress playing Murph were survivors. Also, I like how the doctor told Coop how they studied him in high school, bringing that history back compared to his meeting with the school years ago.
@DaKidsReact9 ай бұрын
That blew our minds when that doctor said they studied him back in high school. This movie did a fantastic job at emphasizing the time that Coop lost. It was sad to see but also really cool to see how space travel is conducted and its effects on individuals.

As for your question about how Cooper was found at the end, when he left the tesseract he went back into the original worm hole (I guess they are connected somehow). That's how he shook Dr. Brands hand because they were both in the worm hole. The entrance to the worm hole is near Saturn, and that's where the wormhole spit him out. When Coop is floating in space you can see Saturn in the background. The giant spaceship from Earth was traveling to the worm hole to bring everyone to Brand's planet. The guy said "our rangers found you". Rangers are usually scouts. They were probably sent out ahead of the spaceship to scout around and they found coop floating.

Really enjoyed your reaction! You've gained a subscriber - you should watch some of Dennis Villaneuve's movies. One of the best directors out there - he did Arrival, Sicario, Prisoners, Dune, Incendies just to name a few. They're all incredible. Incendies is not as well known, but it's what brought Dennis into the spotlight - it will rip your heart out, but worth the watch. Because of the mass following, a reaction video to Dune would most likely get a ton of views! Dune Part 2 comes out in 2 weeks!

The fact that Cooper was able to meet Brand and shake her hand across time and space implies that he is in love with Brand also. And when Brand is alone on Edmunds planet at the end, Cooper will find her and they will be the proverbial Adam and Eve of the new planet.

Fun fact you are right, the footage that looks old of me he elderly taking about the dust was real interviews for a 1980’s documentary on the dust bowls of the 1930’s that was catastrophic to crops and also had a blyte problem . Nolan refeenced the documentary to make it this a reoccurrence of the trap event and loved the interviews so much he chose to add them into the movie . Genius having older murph in a similar interview to where we don’t realize it’s his daughter talking about it.

1:04:00 What you are seeing is called gravitational lensing. The disk they are flying over surrounds the equator - roughly - of the blackhole. But the gravity is so strong that light becomes distorted, so you are seing the portion behind the blackhole, only it appears as that sort of arch over the top of it. Viewed from afar, you see the back part of the disk appear both above and bellow the blackhole. Although the actual blackhole is much smaller than the black area, that just marks the event horizon, beyond which light cannot escape. This we actually can observe with the Hubble Space Telescope. You'll see this lensing occur when looking at dense clusters of galaxies, the intense collective gracity of the cluster causing lensing that results in galaxies behind them appearing as distorted arches and lines around the edges of the cluster

You guys were wondering why the black hole looks like that. It's called Gravitational Lensing and it's very real. Basically the gravity is so strong that it bends light, so you can actually see what's behind the black hole, though it's a warped image that kind of appears to "wrap" around the black hole.

Something minor that a lot of reactors miss: near the beginning when they dock with the ship and start spinning, that’s to create artificial gravity. It’s like those carnival rides that spin and they smash your back against the outside of the ride. And it’s the same thing at Cooper Station at the end. The whole station spins and the “ground” is the inside surface of the outer wall.
@pjsebadoh54129 ай бұрын
In theory, a "wormhole" is like a tunnel thru space created by a sh*t ton of gravity. Imagine NY and LA connected by a 6 ft tunnel... It's f*cked up, but space can be bent or folded, it is nuts...
