That's deep... Sometimes I'm not sure if I'm human myself. at least thats what I heard, I saw an interview with Tim Kenny the first voice actor for Spyro and he said something about a Spyro game next year, it will reboot the entire series but it does take place after Dawn of The Dragon. According to him Spyro and Cynder were teleported to Artisian from the first Spyro game and they planned to live out there lifes there however Malefor is far from dead and an even worse enemy is on the rise.

Have you played Dawn of the Dragon? **SPOILERS** Spyro and Cynder died at the end to stop Malefor and saving the Earth from breaking apart. At the final cutscene after the credits they show Spyro and Cynder flying around in where it must be "the heaven of dragons". That's why the Legend of Spyro trilogy is so dark. Really awesome games, my favorite Spyro trilogy.

Thats not true. Endcredits shows Spyro and cynder alive flying over Avalar. I think it was actualy intend to sacrifice Spyro but Activision had different plans in the middle of development (Skylanders) and probably forced them to go into this direction so they can use Spyro for furher games.

Well, at least Spyro is back online in the Reignited trilogy that is on Steam. But before that, I feel bad that Cynder had to see Spyro die right in front of her. but, as all sayings go, Nature takes it's course and Spyro will ALWAYS be within our hearts until we die and join him in the afterlife.
