I prefer the anime expressions than the manga because, in the manga, she looks batshit crazy sometimes which affects her appeal. In the anime, her expression is more "humane" so to speak and she's still graceful in how she carries herself. Loki's expressions were true to the manga since he's a shapeshifter and deceitful in nature.

I know a lot of people complained about the animation, but I for one don't mind it. While I am disappointed in the animation, i've come to appreciate the things that they have done well. One of the aspects I think they did well in was the character art. They packed a lot of detail into the designs, while still keeping it faithful to the manga. I especially like the face close ups they do, like when Brunhilde first sees Zeus come out, or when Posiden smiles and looks down on Sasaki. Their expressions are really well done and detailed.

For some reason I’m able to sit through these “bad animations” like I’m able to sit through old Kung fu movies, they were more quantity than quality but I was able to appreciate the treasures written within them. As someone who hasn’t read the manga, I think you guys are taking it overboard by trashing this anime series. Netflix did a good job producing the story so it’s able to get the point across. This isn’t the 90’s/early 2000’s where people were allowed to spend bigger budgets on a series as opposed to animating stuff in 3D. The fact that this was able to be produced at all with many different languages available such as English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese. They’re doing a fantastic job bringing out this story to a wider audience and honestly it seems like the people complaining about animations are entitled and don’t know how the world works. If you’re gonna hold something to high regards to it’s original product then just stay with the original product. It’s still there and always will be. The anime is just supposed to broaden its audience.

While I agree to some extent, it is also for an adaptation to do the source material justice, so that both people who read the manga and those who don't can equally enjoy it. And since ROR is centered around it's fights, it's vital that the animation for said fights is important to bring it forth. Sure it's not terrible by any means, and the voice acting was well done, but people can still want more while also not being ungrateful for what they have. It's fine to expect better quality given today's standards, but that also comes with being respectful and understanding
