Several hundred hours in tarkov total here, i still dont play around on reserve or streets ever. I can operate on reserve as i did it for quests but i could never get streets to work right.

I have 4.8k hours. There's still a few maps I feel uncomfortable on. Simply because of how good I know you can be by playing a certain map a lot. Knowing good spots for angles or to overlook areas can make it so that you win fights you had no business winning.

I literally have like 1300 hours in the game and I still don't know the bunker on reserve, the inside of interchange, labs nor streets. The thing is that I NEVER play alone so I'm kinda like just following my friends so I don't have to learn the maps. Also my pc is dying while trying to run this game so I hardly ever go to streets or reserve.

I don't think scaving is so bad when you consider anyone without an upgrade version using just an alpha pack is thoroughly fucked when trying to get through early tasks. I've personally gone through customs at least half a dozen times killed 12+ scavs and 1 or 2 PMCs and consistently cannot make it out with the machinery or unknown key quest items add on to that not having a keychain I either have to risk a CMS and Salewa every run, which are a pain in the ass to get without the flea or I have to fight the scav battalion that attacks me every time without any healing. IDK what it is but I feel like having to fight my way through 10+ scavs every raid just to get the pocket watch is insane. I say this as someone with under 100 hours and most of which have been spent scavving to recuperate from these cancer quests.

I'll be honest, I do agree with your take with scaving, but to say it used to be somewhat difficult to make money in this game is cap lol. It was even easier to make money pre found in raid, no marked and cursed so you could hatchet run, marked rooms were absolutely insane with weapon cases and such. I do think that not being able to pick the map would be helpful to get players out of their comfort zone.

Its utterly disturbing how he didnt insurance dump his friends mk, but his own 7.62. Then he picks up the 5.45 ak and dissembles it only to assemble it again dump its mags keeping the only mag in the gun with 15 ammo. Then picks up the 7.62 ak proceeds to put it in the bag and picks up two mags for it which doesnt fit the 5.45 his holding with half full mag only. While the secondary is basically empty. i have 2100 hours in tarkov still cant kill the goons or most bosses. If you have 50 hours and meta gear and wipe the bosses you are guaranteed hacking no doubt about it. Edit: also scaving back in the day was easy unlimited killing unlimited bags, unlimited guns so on and so forth, now you see a player you better hope they're a PMC or you're screwed, they might not give to cheeses but you will so if they shoot you well you're dead anyway but yeah, scavs now are just death runs where as before it was "damn im down and out right now let me make some quick money" and boom you had enough for a kit again or re-ran the scav stuff because it was basically new anyway scaving before was way better then it is now

On top of that you tend to report people with less than 1000 hours if they seem even a little bit good at the game. Other games can give you good game sense even in a game like tarkov. I get most of my game knowledge from watching videos and put those tips and tricks to use that I've learn and because of that I'm actually doing good this wipe. I have 600 hours and a 66% surv rate and 10 kd. While previous wipes I was shit on.

bc of armour changes you straight up don’t even need good ammo anymore, but if you go on streets or lighthouse scavs can spawn at high loot areas before PMCs can even get there. It’s blatantly overpowered, especially if you have max scav rep.

@@B1gandTasty no the point of scavving is definitely just so people who are down on their luck can make money to keep playing. i'm like 99% sure that's why they added it. it's just evolved into killing PMCs with free kits bc you can literally perma-scav if your scav rep is high enough, which is why it's so overpowered. just go streets, rush any gunfire, you'll probably have a scav squad all doing the same thing. if you die, go upstairs and get some water, do a couple stretches and your free kit is back up. no need for PMC or paying to run good gear.
