Strictly Limited has started including manuals with all their releases which, as silly as it sounds, is enough to make me always choose their version 😅
@reagandow8503 жыл бұрын
Indeed. They make a SOLID product however it usually takes about a year to get their version which is very frustrating. I order every one of their Shmups but I typically order the Japanese version as well.
@LolaliciousSmiley3 жыл бұрын
I loved game manuals because I could be a master of the options and controls by the time I got home from the store. I missed out on the generation of necessary manuals though. Looking back, those typically have the coolest illustrations and story details.
@PEHfinale2 жыл бұрын
@@reagandow850 yeah I don't mind the wait if it gets me a manual. My backlog is ridiculous so I have plenty to play while I wait ^_^

Why not a fan of limited companies? Sometimes that is the only way to get a physical version. Does the Japanese version of Desth Smiles contain all the DLC in the cartridge? The strictly limited release supposedly does.

I finally purchased this game today physical version for switch. I was hesitant on buying these because I have a raspberry, also I really strive for physical copy don't like digital. Great video sir!

The Japanese physical is $55, but comes with the DLC (the maidens pack) that's $25 on the eShop, so you actually save $10.

Now 100 bucks plus and available on e bay only, meanwhile PS4 gets a normal release and is like 40 bucks. F limited releases and forced collectibility.

I bought my copy back in November when PlayAsia was doing the free shipping thing. Currently waiting for my copy to arrive. I have played the first one on Steam and it's a fun bullet hell game. I look forward to playing I & II on my switch.

I don't normally play this kind of game but the character/monster design looks cool and alternate endings are my kryptonite. I'm considering getting this.

The problem with import version is that you can’t get updates and DLCs won’t work, since Switch online region locking.(that’s what I’ve heard) and that’s a HUGE problem.

I'm in a weird spot with Shmups. Still dipping my toes, but know a bit so not a total pleb. I think I like them because they are similar to the first games I ever played, which was basically those 100 in 1 NES cartridges. Didn't know this was a bullet hell, but I could keep up. (Only got hectic near the end, thought that was normal, becuase usually I don't make it to the end of these games). After the second stage things started to fall apart though. Started to take hits and died. First two levels I was amazed by myself. I'm a bit bummed this isn't a remaster and just a port....considering the asking price.

Great review! Just curious why dont you recommend buying the game from stricly limited run? In their release, they have the dlc on the disc which contains the 2 new characters.
@Mingodough3 жыл бұрын
Probably because they take 20 years to ship something. Even compared to something like play Asia economy
@punkydudester33 жыл бұрын
Some of their releases seriously take over a year to get from strictly limited. I'm still waiting on my Turrican collection which is now over 1 year since i ordered. I only do limited run games and no one else now
@Madlittlepixel3 жыл бұрын
I didnt say not to, I made sure to make people aware they are selling it. But I have never done business with them and dont like waiting so I go where I can get it now. Ive heard a lot of people say they dont ship ontime and are often very late with their promises... So that puts me off a bit. But everyone can decide for themselves I have no personal experience to make claims about them.
@Mingodough3 жыл бұрын
@@punkydudester3 They make good stuff and Turrican is coming in April (apparently) but damn. The wait is real. But apparently with the turrican collection they added a bunch of stuff like alternate soundtracks to play while playing the game, a in game map, zoomed in screen with UI toggable, etc.

Well, yes.. but we mostly talking Japanese Arcades. We still had arcades in the USA during that time as well but not like it was in the 80-90's. New arcade games are still produced to this day its just not the same anymore.

Ahh yes bought the first one on the 360 back in the day myself. Back when I can just buy it off a normal retail store. Didn't even know they had a physical release for this. I'm in the same boat. I'm tires of buying from store like Limited Run games. I end up paying way more than I should. It like an extra $10-15 bucks. Wish these small company just make a store page on Amazon like Inin. Make buying game so much easier. I remember the Street of Rage debacle as well. Bought it on Limited Run. Than they release it retail. To bad for me. I bundle the game with another game and they held it until the other game release. I didn't get the game for a very long time. I think the Mr. X dlc drop by the time I got my copy because of the other game. Just sat in their warehouse collecting dust for like 6 months after retail maybe longer even.

@@jaxh4x yeah for sure but I wanted a physical copy. Oh I forgot to mention my game got held until the physical copy of Street of Rage 4 Mr. X version aka the complete version drop in retail store. I just got this one on steam recently, love the heck out of it, I used to play it via emulation but don't regret buying in and supporting the company, didn't know there was a switch version, sadly I already decided I would only buy Nintendo exclusive games, I feel like I have been wasting money double buying stuff on my pc also for my switch.
