Hi Joe, How about a video on "lasers"? What's the current state of the technology, latest applications, power levels, weaponization, scientific applications, communication etc? I just thought that would be a cool topic since the laser has been famous for so long now and we don't really see much of it in our daily lives as once predicted. Love your channel and content. Definitely one of the best ever on KZbin. Thanks for all you and your team contribute.

We see a lot of lasers in our daily lives, they just aren't safe to be out in the open typically where they can blind you or they're part of industrial practices used to manufacture products we consume. For example, anything that reads a disk relies on laser diodes to read, a blu-ray play has a blue laser diode. Fiber optic internet uses lasers to create the signals it transmits. Lots of industrial welding for things like cars is done using welding laser and if you look at the logo on the back of your phone there a chance that logo was put there with a marking laser. Lasers are used in several types of 3d printing, lots of wood and acrylic pieces are made as laser cut outs... Seriously the list goes on

@@brendanmay9585 The only thing that doesn't change in life is that _things change._ I feel like your issue might be related to how you tangle with that concept, or perhaps that you haven't yet tangled with it enough. I mean to be fair, maybe you do flat out hate the aesthetic (which you don't need me to tell you is perfectly within your right), admittedly I just find that hard to believe. And the reason I say that is because you had _nothing specific to say._ You replied to someone making a VERY general claim about a _tendency_ of creators to "overdo" their *set changes* (which doesn't happen everyday, and certainly isn't common in any case, so let's just be clear about that-meaning that the OP must be speaking from their own personal experience, so they're just sharing their own opinion and relating it to how they feel about Joe's new set), and all you responded with was that you believe Joe Scott's WAS overdone (whatever that means to you, since none of us actually know what context went into the original poster's use of that word lol). And that it was a terrible job. But idk, you tell me, man.

OK, I'm immediately going over to watch "The Core" Best time to watch Armageddon movies! OH, and your set looks great man! you have far better design instincts than I do :D ON a more serious note, I think it really just shows how little we know about the earth and what transpires on it. All the global climate panic revolves around man's influence on the environment, and honestly, the more I learn the more I think we have very little impact on the world. Magnetic poles shift, the core stops rotating, sun flares all change the earth far more dramatically then man. A single super volcano explosion would change the world 10x more then man has done since we've been studying it.

Still my go to channel for weird factoids and "special" knowledge. I like the new set... the old one was so "early 21st Century." Good to see you get with the times. And thanks for the scary core stories...

Cool style, I like the leds and the calm color of the wall. Nice that your putting "a spin" to your decoration. But tbh, it's too clean. I loved watching all the details in your shelf, gave some "core" value. It was more honey and less tv-studio. Think you could add some more curious stuff back in? Thanks for keeping things interesting, happy your back in your "rotation" again. ❤

Really pleased with the way you described everything from the spinning of the core and length of days to the changing of the magnetic field and movement of the poles. There's not a lot of people doing so honestly and accurately, i.e. fearmongering. I would love for you to do more on these subjects.

@@robert-wr9xt the new set is evolving just like this channel. Like I stated above I’ve been watching for a few years and I’ve watched Joe and his channel change and evolve over time. It’s not a matter of it’s boring. It’s change and change can be good. If you think it’s boring then that’s your opinion and you have that right.

Something is coming I assure you... How is there a solid Iron core inside of a molten core that stays around 5,000 (⁰C) when Iron melts around 1,300 (⁰C)? So the molten core is 3×'s hotter than the melting point of the "solid" inner core. Why doesn't it the "solid" core melt? The numbers just don't match but that's pretty normal when it comes to almost any scientific anything any more, they either contradict or are of such astronomical amounts that the average human mind can't even conceive of how astronomical they are. Curiouser and Curiouser....

probably because of the immense weight of the entire earth and your mom exerting so much force on the inner core that it makes it solid??

Reminds me of that video of astronauts spinning a screw on it's axis in the ISS. Every so often the screw would flip to point the opposite direction, but continue spinning on it's axis.

Hey, Joe, there's a reflection or shadow or something that keeps appearing on the right side (your right side) of your nose, that looks kinda like a giant wart. Then you shift slightly, and it's gone. Might want to do a light check? Love the new studio!

Joe you are SINCIERELY in my view....one of the few...actually almost COMPLETELY , I dont wanna say positive as in upbeat , But educational, fun, intelligent, relatable, interesting, and something you can watch and actually walk away from learning something new...not just .... using up spare time. You are SINGLE HANDEDLY probably making MANY young minds much more interested in science, mathematics, so many fields your videos cover...and so many of them very accessible to the general viewer. I have been SO HAPPY to see your channel grow, and loving the new room ! Keep it up man, we god damn love you man ❤❤✊✊🙏🙏🤘🤘 Edit: BAHHAAHA GOD DAMNIT I love that you brought up the core in the video thats the FIRST THING i thought of when i saw this video xD Secondary edit : Yeah gotta give props on that alliteration.

FYI, I understand why you used Non Glare Glass in the traditional gold picture frame in the background of your new set. I would recommend that you change it for Tru-Vue Museum Glass. It should appear to be totally invisible. This may help tweek and improve the viewing experience. BTW, I do enjoy most of your topic choices. Keep up the good work 👍
