Thank you for such a nice review of our pants and we are so glad they’ve been treating you very well over the last 5 years! Also, we were just in the beginning phases of making them when you purchased them and we can’t thank you enough for purchasing a pair! We now offer them from size 24 to 34. We are a very small company and we hope to expand on the line as it builds momentum. People like you really help us see the importance in offering more items like this. Thank you so much and keep up the good work!

You’re not an idiot for trusting people, that makes you a good person. I, on the other hand, trust no one. Life has jaded me, not the point. What I’m trying to say is that I wish I could see the good in people as you seem to. Much love and positivity your way.

I've had the Titan over 2 years,..I love it,...I have the Surefire Defender as well 1000 lumens for 15 years,..it always works!! I've used Streamlights,..a lot of them,..if they break you buy another cuz they're just cheap but work ok. I'm an auto tech and put my lights through hell 10 hours a day. The Surefire works flawlessly!! Max output is 500 lumens. I removed the pocket clip using a rubber jar opener wrapped around the end so my clip is now gone!! If the pocket clip cap is stubborn heat it with a hairdrier and try again. If that still doesn't work ask a strong guy to try the rubber jar gripper trick,..it does come off you've got my word!! Let me know what works please I'd like to know if I helped you at all. BTW. LOVE all your reviews and yes Olight is a TOTAL POS. I agree!!!! Keep up the great work we love you!!!

Erica, Surefire uses high quality leds and spends the engineering time designing the reflector to work with it. I'm really happy with OPUS battery chargers. They can charge, charge test, quick test, discharge / refresh, and discharge. I like the OPUS BT-C3100 V2.2 and the OPUS BT-C2400 and can charge a different cell in each slot. This morning temp was down to 31.3 F for the first time in Wyoming. Hope you and Nicole like your new jobs. Take care, stay warm, and bless you both.

I’ve been wearing those pants for just about a year and they’re the best work pants I’ve ever used. A far superior product to Filson double tin pants for sure. I just did a review and quick comparison on the Filson vs Redclouds. Thanks for the content.

Unless they changed the design on the sure fire titan, the tail cap screws off to remove the pocket clip. Mine comes off just fine. Might have to take the split ring off and use a couple wrenches or pliers to unscrew it.

I'm really sorry this was done to you. If I may be so rude as to offer advice, I look for people who already listed most/all problems you can find on inspection, I love sale pages with like half a page of faults listed because I'd rather trust the seller than trying to get lucky and not know what I'm in for. People who talk about how trustworthy they are, even indirectly, are not people I rush to do business with either. Love your attitude and your reviews and 100% surefire prices are insane but they are stupidly reliable which for me is the most important aspect of a light. Probably just my own bias but $325 usd for pants makes me gag way harder than any surefire price I've seen lol. Best of luck.

Sorry to hear about the trailer. (I hope it isn’t too much to get it insulated.). Agreed on Olight (my last two died within a month). They’re not US-made, but for a small clicky I like the Eagtac d3a (AA) and Reylight Pineapple Mini (AAA). There’s not many US-made lights anymore, but you might want to check out Peak LED Solutions. VERY unique rugged designs… you’ll either love them or hate them (I’ve yet to try one, but they’re definitely on my list).
@meursault1654

Peak are great lights, and they use thermal epoxy like the other USA lights I use. All are weapon lights which are virtually indestructible, like Surefire, Malkoff Designs, and Elzetta.
@FreedomFox1
@FreedomFox1 2 жыл бұрын
@@meursault1654 I definitely need to try out a Peak (probably a AAA Eiger), I just need to figure out which materials and options. For that size I’d lean towards the aluminum for a lightweight keychain light, but the other metals look so much cooler. Do you have a favorite for edc (Peak or any other brand)?
@meursault1654
@meursault1654 2 жыл бұрын
@@FreedomFox1 I would go with Peak aluminum for lightweight edc but have an old titanium Muyshondt and an Arc for aaa. Yeah, the steel and brass look cool but for the weight you might as well carry a cr123 light. For cr123/16340 and aa/14500 I carry Malkoff exclusively in a few configurations.

Damnit that sucks. Large purchases are always the worst because you get so excited about the possibility of scoring something you need for a good deal you almost always forget to check the simplest things. Can't tell you how many times I bought something I thought I had given a good once over just to get home and find problem after problem.

+1 I got into the flashlight hobby (2006) wayyyy before the knife hobby (2022). Surefire was what singlehandedly got me into the flashlight hobby. If I could only have one flashlight, it would be a Surefire. My Surefire A2 Aviator that I got in 2006 (my first "nice" light) is likely one of the things I have owned longest out of any tool of any genre in my life & holds a dear place in my heart. That said, I have more & use Olights more than any other light ever since I first gave them a try about 2 years ago and have yet to have any problems with them. Don't get me wrong, they're definitely not as nice as Surefires (be it build quality, or beam color (CRI)) but certainly for the price, I've yet to experience any fault/failure I thought was unacceptable or surprising. (I actually discovered Olight through the knife community, as opposed to the flashlight community)

OLight set a pair of my pants on fire as well, and then they told me I should have put electric tape on back if I was gonna put it in my pocket. Had a Malkoff Designs MDC, CR123 flashlight that has been awesome but actually just lost it last week so I gotta find a new one. Don't know if I'm going to get another Malkoff cause they are USA made, and awesome. Or was thinking about the surefire stiletto. And that sucks about the camper issues, if I was closer I'd offer help with the work.

Pro tip on if your waxed stuff ever does smell, just get really cheap grain vodka (corn is fine) that is not flavored. Get a spray bottle for cheap, fill the spray bottle and spritz the inside and outside liberally then leave to dry in a ventilated space. The vodka will evaporate while killing all the bacteria that cause the smells.

When doing business, you MUST apply scrutiny until you gained positive experience with that Business Partner, no matter what he does to look trustworthy. If you are doing one time deals then the more neccessary it is to doublecheck, as there is no Amazon or Ebay Customer protection that regulates the vendor‘s behaviour. You simply cannot say you are out of time next time. You have to take that time for checking. On the other hand: please keep your Christian mindset and openness to other people, don’t start being a distrusting person in general. 🙏

For flashlights, concentrated beam is called “throw” and wider spread is called “flood.” Your Surefire is a beast because it’s solid brass! And has potted(epoxy set) electronics so it’s plenty durable. And no matter how tempting, avoid alkaline batteries. They leak and can destroy your light. Hopefully you’ll review more USA made lights in the future. Malkoff Devices MDC lights have great clips and beams. And Peak are super durable as well. Good luck on your projects!
