I really enjoyed your ME1 play through and I was so hyped when I saw this pop up on my feed. ME 1 set a strong foundation of building this amusement park ride and ME2 is like getting in the car and pulling the lever. I originally missed ME1 ,despite many of the gamers I knew saying I should play it. A friend of mine obtained a hooky version of ME2 and sent it my way. I loved it so much I went and bought both the games and the available dlc. Going through 2 again, this time with an imported ME1 save, transformed 2. As good as it had been from a vanilla start, the sudden extra storyline and callbacks to 1 were such a great addition. So glad you're enjoying one of my favourite series, Basic!

Fun fact: The questions in the shuttle originally had a practical funtion. ME1 didn't save your final choice regarding the Councel Chairman, so in the original ME2 Miranda also asks you who you chose, so the game could fix that.

a game playing tip: do not worry about paragon vs. renegade choices so much when you get the prompt to take some action in the dialogue. some of the renegade choices have rather amusing cut scenes and can have a positive effect in some combat that comes shortly after....most of your choices will be paragon, but the ones you make as renegade choices won't detract from your paragon score....you will continue to get paragon points in the basic dialog choices you make, as well as an occasional renegade point

Absolutely love the cast in these games! Already we've seen Martin Sheen as The Illusive Man and Yvonne Strahovsky as Miranda (in a rare case where she gets to use her actual Australian accent). In addition to the already great cast from the first game like Seth Green as Joker and Raphael Sbarge as Kaidan. They could easily cast a show or movie of this series and just have many of the voice actors play their own characters 😂

Maaate as much as I have enjoyed watching your ME1 playthrough I have been waiting for this moment and you absolutely did not disappoint. Everything levels up from Here, not just the graphics Some hints for you Definitely do the Mordin mission asap as that helps with Upgrades, and speaking of which ask squad members for Upgrades for the Normandy Your health and shields will regenerate automatically just go to cover Scan and Probe every planet even in the Local cluster as this is vital for upgrades and lots of hidden finds. The Paragon and Renegade options happen a lot so be ready to click. Eavesdropping on conversations is always a good idea You have a little more weapon options available to you so look into the armoury and even the mission loadout screen for you and your squad as some weapons do way more damage than others even if their fire rate isn’t as high. Looking forward to seeing your playthroughs as this is absolutely my favorite in the series and hits sooo hard. 😊

You can map individual squad powers to the numbers on your keyboard. Makes combat very fluid w/o having to pause.

I had the same problem with the eyebrows, it's able to fix that without designing the appearance completely new. If you had written down the code from ME1, choose "custom appearance", then type in the code, then you have the "imported" appearance and you can change single things like eyebrows. If you hadn't written down the code from ME1, it's a little more difficult, but also possible. Start with the imported appearance, play the first scenes, and when you are able to open the squad screen, the code is shown. Write it down, start ME2 again, import your Commander Shepard from ME1 again, choose "custom appearance" and continue like above. That's how I had to do it....

I am so happy you got rid of the ranchi I hated that mission at Noveria. Those things creeped me out and popping out of nowhere coming at you yuck! I played Mass Effect multiple times and I'll tell you I've made my male Shepard Paragon. He's Team friendly, family orientated, and he likes working together as a team. My female Shepard is ruthless, willing to get her hands dirty, and make difficult decisions. She doesn't care if she hurts your feelings as well that's how I made her.

Mass Effect (1) is the GOAT, 2 & 3 are great also although less RPGish. I think people were a bit let down back in the day, but nowadays you'll have access to all DLC from the getgo which makes the expriences more complete from the first playthrough.

For your next ME1 playthru… the orig Normandy does have an armory, it’s right next to Ash, you can equip every teammates gear there … then mark all the stuff you won’t use to either sell or convert to omnigel. On PC the little trash can icon on each item is very hard to see for some reason. This was a new feature added to the legendary position. Gear and weapons are much simplified in ME2. Also, since I’m caught up with all your ME videos so far I have to wait each week. Torture! 😉

Enjoyed your start to ME2. Would suggest that you use your own an your teammates powers by your choice and not do it via the game choosing when they get used. Biotic combos are powerful if used together. A singularity that grabs a group of enemies will explode if you hit it with incinerate, overload, or other powers causing damage or deaths to those close to the explosion. Your 2 years was hilarious

@@basicwitgirl XD I was watching while at work and i didnt realize when i first clicked that there *was* an ME1 playthrough, also, i mean, i didn't actually look at what flags you set but you had mentioned romancing Kaiden, and that is tragically rare, im more into Tali myself but Kaiden is amazing and horribly underappreciated, way too many people dont actually pay attention to his character and then wrongfully write him off as one note and boring, glad to see him getting some love
