Nio has revealed an all-new model at its 2023 Nio Day: the ET9. It’s only launching in China for now, but demonstrates some new technologies and acts as a luxury flagship for the electric car brand.
The new ET9 is a four-seater with not-quite-saloon, not-quite-SUV crossover proportions. Nio says it’s designed to be a ‘smart electric executive flagship’, and it still features plenty of design elements of other Nio cars.

Thats not quite the same. The systems shown in this Video use forward locking sensors to detect a bump and then cancel out the shock by unloading the tire, greatly increasing ride comfort. The Citroen have a reactive system. It can only do something, once it's tires hit something.

I live in the US which is obviously better than europe. US imports all kinds of vehicles all over the world. Never even know that Citroen even existed probably didn't meet US safety and tech standards.

@fabianrudzewski9027 Yes, because having 500 sensors with 300 computers monitoring the system that gets arguably the most brutal action on it is a good idea. All for the low price of 100k+. A Citroen’s cheaper, readily maintained, and I will go out on a limb and say more reliable.

Technically not that difficult, search the Bose car, they did it like 20 or so years ago. But its not practical since it consumes too much power in the real world.

The main difference here is that the Chinese made this system into a production car while Bosch system made it only to that single Lexus LS test car in the videos that we all saw back then.

@@ssa6227I'll take any Mercedes over this piece of scrap. If you're gonna try to say Mercedes scams its customers, just re-watch the video. The EV was given a disproportionate amount of humps for the stacked glass test compared to the Mercedes.

@@lordpumpkinhead265 😂You are dumb. Stacks don't matter Maybach couldn't make it half way. 😂 That system is not Chinese it was developed by Bose the speaker fame company. The reason Lexus gave up on it was weight. It was too heavy. Chinese cars have come a long way doing great in Eastern markets. Western quality is now Chinese and China is the new USA deal with it. 😂

Something is wrong here because Mercedes has E active body control which basically does what the china car is doing. Therefore the Chinese car has copies of the Mercedes suspension. Auto win to Mercedes

And then you have to realize the reason why Bose doesn't make that anymore and why nobody adopted it. Because it was horrendously unreliable. They got it working for that demonstration and basically couldn't keep it working for much longer than that. It required extensive servicing regularly to even keep working at a low level. Also it required a considerable amount of electricity which at the time was problematic

(WTF) Cars: Machines to not drop water glasses when going on some bump. Mercedes Maybach S580 worth its money. Bigger bumps, more bumps and most importantly, the chinese one is faster. If the car is faster chance of water glasses falling is lower.
