The wings do work, but the body itelf doesn't change the drag depending of its deformation.

The aero does change depending on deformation. Moreover, the drag is simulated on each polygon itself - which results automatically in deformation aero being simulated. You can see this well when driving with one of the hillclimb cars with the big wing: If you drive really fast you can see the back bending in the center. This would not happen if the drag was pre-calculated: The force had to be applied evenly to each jBeam node of the wing and would not have a stronger effect on the rear part than on any other node and as a result the wing would not bend like that. Also, if you ever tried flying a plane in BeamNG and damaged (not ripped of) the wing, the plane will fly differently anyways.

Observing the car when I'm messing with it, what appears to be happening is that the center differential is slipping and causing the rear tires to spin up violently, and some sort of torque-multiplication thing is causing them to hit 200+. Accelerating gently in reverse seems to rectify the issue. This seems to be a problem with other AWD mod cars as well.

Wow it really has been years (probably 4 or 5 now) since I watched your channel last and you’re still doing the same content. It makes sense I guess, it’s hard to change your image on the internet . Your channel definetely holds a lot of sentimental value for me, you are hard working but I do get the sense that you are sort of forcing yourself to record some of the content. I would totally be open to watching you do something totally different if you decide to. And you need to take a break that’s fine. I’ve seen a lot of youtubers suffer from burnout, and I hope you don’t lose your passion for being creative out of an obligation to keep making the same content.
