Quick update, the folks at Heybike let us know that the bike we tested is a prototype and that the production units will have the following changes: 1. Front suspension WILL be HYDRAULIC. 2. Both models of the Hero will have a TORQUE sensor. 3. Both models will have the integrated display in the handlebar. 4. There will be an integrated tail light under the seat.

Remember guys, this is your prototype bike. It is at the final. There’s gonna be better cable management and the final handlebars will not be like that they all lcd screen will actually be in the bars nobody can help you out on help fixing the problem. They don’t even have them yet.

The only thing lacking in this bike is the smaller battery capacity. Is the battery removable? Sorry if I missed it in the video. Edit: The cadence sensor kind of sucks too.

Any idea if you put PLUS tires 2.8inch - 3inch) on its wheels? *Plus size tires make alot more sense for street riding* (fat tires are over-emphasized these days). *Thanks for your thorough review style and honesty in pointing out flaws other channels ignore*

Thanks! We love what we do and even though companies sponsor some of our videos, we will always tell the truth of what we see wrong. We do this for our passion of PEVs and we have a ton of fun doing it. Most importantly is that the consumer comes first so they can make an educated buying decision. I’m not sure if you could put those size of tires on it. You would have to put in new front forks but not sure how you would modify the tail of the bike to fit a smaller tire. Fat tires are definitely overemphasized these days but I see why a lot of people enjoy them.

The weird auto throttle say whaa? I'd want to throttle when I want. How that even needs to be typed is just wow. Liked the step through idea. Don't like wrong wh advert. I'm going to refuse tyres with 20 printed on it if it's a 14 inch rim, reprint the tyre or I'm out. I want a 14 inch tyre on my 14 inch rim and it must say 14 on it. Voting with my wallet. With the premise concept of keep it simple. Wishing you nice success and to be well. I'm currently favoring tubless or solid rubber not possible to go flat tyres, I'm an euc rider, I'm done with tubes anyway. My 3c opinions. Thank you. Does look like a nice bike.

Pretty hard to touch the new Wired bikes right now. At $1999 you get a 60v system that peaks at over 3200 watts with a dual battery system providing 2100 wh of battery. Full suspension on both models now and a true thru axle fork, 203mm rotors with 4 piston hydraulic brakes. Hope you guys get one!!! The carbon fiber frame is a pure gimmick, these bikes and their riders are massive and a couple of pounds weight savings is nothing. Carbon fiber is just reinforced plastic, I’d be afraid of cracking the frame with hard use.

105 pounds with batteries and 85 pounds with no batteries. This is very heavy. Only good for people who will never carry it or haul it. No mention of torque sensor on their site. Sometimes one doesn't needs all this power. It can be just for bragging rights.

That may be for the mid drive version. We only tested the hub drive model.

Seems like a 35 mph car replacement bike shouldn't be using fat tires. Just overkill. Stromer uses 2.25" reinforced road tires to great effect. That would eliminate all kinds of excessive rim/tire mass, right?

No. The fat tires are necessary for all-terrain capability and high speed stability on the road to easily roll over bumps and potholes safely!

@@chaxologist2024 No they're not. MTB tires in the 2.2-3.0" range are much more capable overall.

@@chaxologist2024have you ridden an e-bike with full suspension and 2.25" wide tires? My first e-bike was 30 mph capable and I used 1.5" tires never pausing for deviations in pavement. The suspension OR the wider than 28mm tires are needed for high speed. Combining 4" with suspension is illogical.

I’ve owned several e-bikes so far, and I agree with the bans. Some people are respectful of walkers, runners, and other bikers, but I find most people riding e-bikes on trails are out of control and dangerous.
