Dear Daniel, you are a true legend, your videos are very inspiring and the way you explain makes me understand the concepts much better that I then put into practice when I am doing an event. Keep making such good videos about what many of us are passionate about and if you ever pass through Alicante (Spain) I hope to say hello. Merry christmas. P.S. The company I usually work with has an FBT Muse 210 system like the one in the video.

Incredible video, Daniel Kharrat. Looking forward to seeing your next upload from you. I smashed the thumbs up button on your content. Keep up the fantastic work! Your explanation of the inverted gradient subray technique was enlightening. How do you think the physical environment of a venue impacts the effectiveness of this setup, particularly in terms of reflections and sound absorption?

@KeyserTheRedBeard i think also inside a room this will give you the most controlled sound because you're avoiding reflections from the wall behind the stage. And pulling the subs half wavelength apart narrows the horizontal spread so that also helps with the side wall. If you have a hard surface behind the the subs this will not work and if there's like stairs in the middle of the stage you might not be able to put the subs in the middle but otherwise i think this is the most doable setup because other setups will require either a very high stage or a lot of space in front of the stage or to fly the subs but this one you can do in most situations

Do you have to mess with delays if you stack 2 subs and just invert polarity on one of them ?
@danielkharrat3 сағат бұрын
Yes. Because phase is time of frequency. The frequencies you want to cancel have to be 180° out of phase. So you need to change the time delay according to the frequencies you want to cancel

Can you do this with only two subwoffers but stacked horizontally?
@danielkharrat3 сағат бұрын
If you do it with only 2 subs next to each other the whole pattern will be diagonal so cancelation will be on one side of the stage and the summation will be on the opposite side of the audience not centered. If you only have 2 subs and you can't put the on top of each other you can put the in front of each other. That's called in-line gradient

@danielkharrat im saying to put one in the upper of the other, cancelling diagonal, the down diagonal to the public and the Up diagonal cancelling to musics

why would you invert the phase of the middle subs? you already inverted its point. from pointing to audience . to pointing to stage. then you inverted also the phase. makes no sense. cuz you already pointed it to the stage. don't invert the phase.

You do you boo. It makes perfect sense. He explains everything perfectly in the video.

Turning the sub around creates physical distance between the drivers. Then you add delay to phase allign them so they are summing in the back. The you invert the polarity to make it cancel instead of sum
