This didn't sit in a chicken coop for 10 years. Even regular cleaning wouldn't have kept it looking as good as it was. The uric acid and other chemicals would have eaten holes and worn down the fibers after only a year or two.

My grandparents had a "brooter house" that we all would use as a storage shed! I've found a heap of tools & furniture out there😁 I found a 100 year old iron bedstead that had about 10 layers of paint on it but we had it sandblasted to reveal it's true beauty! Yet my friends laugh at me when I buy rugs from the thrift store and wash them in my driveway ! I use a lot of baking soda for odors, I bring rug home, lay it out, sprinkle with baking soda, sit in sun for an hour or so, wash, rinse until clear, let dry and Voila, brand new rugs appear. You guys are the best, so satisfying watching a beautiful rug reappear from the mess. I also want to know who put this beautiful rug in with the chickens ??🤔🤔

From experience, dye does not come out that easily, especially since he was not bleaching it. carpet naturally holds in a lot of dirt and hard to get out easily. As a side note, using an extractor is more efficient as far as water use, but the same happens after a few passes with extra dirty carpets.

And the floor is covered in crap so thick you have to use a flat edge shovel to scrape it from the floors cause its like velcro. There is no way this rug was lying on the floor in a chicken barn. I just got randomly recommended this. I actually have a carpet outside right now which needs to be cleaned. My new foster cats were running crazy around my house and in less than 2 seconds managed to take out both the flower vases on the side tables as well as an entire fresh cup of tea on the coffee table and not even stop to see the carnage they left behind. Needless to say, the rug needs to be cleaned. The soap in a watering can is a BRILLIANT idea, as I had no idea how I was going to evenly spread it out while cleaning it.

Don’t forget to turn it over and do the back. I tried cleaning one with a vac carpet cleaning, nothing as good as this for sure, sent it to a professional as I could still smell cat pee on it, they did a marvellous job. Just like Jacob does.

Ok, I am OCD and I couldn’t stand all that dirty water still comin out of that rug. I would have to rewash it and keep washing it until I saw the rinse water come out clear . Then and only then would I put it in that machine to spin the water out of it... lol I would probably be a week cleaning one rug!!! Thanks for the video. God loves you. God bless you.

Bless you for seeing the beauty within all the grime, and taking time to clean and shine it up again. It is expensive to clean carpets, but if it is quality, spend the money to save it. I have a 100% Wool Zebra rug that is about 30 years old. I had a professional cleaning and a new backing in 2019. I absolutely love my rug so it will remain in my family.

Especially after I've watched some of your videos, it's a hard and legit work and there's plenty of science and skills involved, and cleaning carpets ain't cheap either, I reckon, especially if it's an expensive rug because you'd really need to be careful while cleaning it. But my brother is the typical parent who wants their kid to be a doctor or an engineer 😐..that's why I find videos like this and let my nephew watch it so that he'll have exposure to different jobs out there and broaden his mindset instead of just following what his father sets for him (my brother don't like my method but he lets me do it anyway because he knows I'm right 😁) Anyways, my nephew gets tired of watching movies real quick. Like, he'll get tired of it after 5 minutes and then he'll come to me and bother me while I'm doing housework. But everytime I let him watch your videos, no matter how long it is, he watches till the end, and sometimes asks for repeats, which really is a lifesaver for me because then I get to do housework in peace 😂

@@falloutglasster7807 that remains to be seen what he'll become when he's grown up, but while he's still young, I'd like to present to my nephew all the options he could choose from..us siblings grew up in a typical and traditional asian home and unfortunately, that kinda limited our horizon as to what we can be when we grow up because our parents had specific ideas and steered us towards those ideas quite adamantly..and I don't blame our parents, they raised us as best as they knew how, as they themselves were raised that way..but for my nephew, I would just like him to be more adventurous and not be limited by what we think is best for him in our own personal opinion and have him think that anything other than what we suggest to him is unacceptable..as an adult, I wished someone would've done that for me as a child..so now I'm just trying to do that for my nephew..
