Foghorn Leghorn, the Looney Tunes rooster, is back in the spotlight. While Foghorn isn't as popular as Bugs Bunny or Daffy Duck, he is going through a renaissance on Twitter as fans are reinventing the character for a modern day purpose.

Ah, so that’s how you guys feel about when a content creator adds a new change to something they’ve done for years or a decade. Let me guess, if the logo of a candy changes, all of a sudden you hate it and end up not buying it anymore. Makes sense? Not really. So he changed the music, so what? It’s not terrible that he’s made some changes to the intro or outro. The fact that some of you guys hate it reminds me of the people in the fortnite community that won’t let go of “ch1 was the best” mentality. It’s not terrible and as someone who’s watched him for a while (not for 5+ years I’ll admit but still), I don’t really mind if an intro or outro is changed nor do I care that deeply about it to be like “uhhmmm this iconic line of yours that you always said before not saying it anymore is very unpleasant and therefore I hate you for all of eternity”

One thing that makes Foghorn unique is the sheer variety that he has in his cartoon’s, while other characters like Bugs and Road Runner have a standard formula, Foghorn was a character that his creator, Robert McKimson put into a wide variety of situations, from tricking the young but tough Henry Hawk into thinking that others are chicken’s, to annoying the gruff voiced Barnyard Dawg, to trying to win the affection of Miss Prissy, you didn’t really know what Foghorn would be up to, compared to Bug’s where let’s face it, almost all his cartoons has him outsmarting some opponent, or Road Runner try’s to avoid getting eaten by Wile E Coyote, Foghorn has probably more variety in his cartoons than most other Looney Tunes, and that’s likely why he had spread into internet culture.

Not to mention how oddly he is one of the tallest and biggest Looney Tunes characters. Everyone else is small and/or thin. The only other one is Gossamer.

I remember that years ago there was a Looney Tunes Survivor parody called Toon Marooned. One of the challenges had the characters building shelter, but Foghorn kept coming up to characters, giving them unsolicited advice, and then ruining their shelter. He was unanimously voted off.

The earliest memory of Foghorn Leghorn for me is his appearance in the video game Looney Tunes: Back in Action. His role in the game is selling you a monkey in every level after giving you some backstory on how he came across each one.

It's nice to see Foghorn get some recognition, he's an underrated character! My late dad loved Looney Tunes, especially Foghorn, he even had some of the Spotlight Collection DVDs . I remember when I got my first computer, I was having problems with the speakers, so my dad pulled up a Foghorn Leghorn cartoon on KZbin to see if any audio would come out of them. Eventually, we got the speakers to work.

Good to see a not so appreciated character getting the recognition it deserves. My only gripe with the "Coyote vs Acme" movie they were doing but now is cancelled media is that if it came out, it was going to give Foghorn a terrible image. This outcome is better at least for the character.
