Sad Reckerless didnt include the meat prayers every time he went thru the waves of clones before necromancer :( was a lot of fun watching you do this even tho I only caught the bus near the end of the ride but it truly was something to behold. I know it won't help for this run, but you can easily juggle cave slimes by getting into a sprint, jumping at them and then spamming heavy attack. It takes some getting used to, but it's how I clear them in my Insane Mode runs

I just recently got back into Castle Crashers and I was thinking no stat normal might be a fun, if pretty brutal self-imposed challenge. It sounded awful so I just put it on the backburner and kept playing normally. Then I happened to find your channel and saw a stream where you mentioned no stat insane and I was like "There's no way." Then I saw this and goodness gracious me the level of skill and patience on display here is incredible. I never thought no stat insane would be even close to possible. Amazing work, this is extremely impressive. Way to blow my expectations out of the water

Dude, I just barely got to Medusa’s lair in solo insane mode with a level 99 industrialist, the best in-game character, and you beat the whole thing with some of the worst magic in the game, only dealing 20 melee damage, about 400 health, and extremely slow movement. H O W (seriously tho dude that is amazing congrats)

I found your channel close to a week ago, and I’m very glad I did. I’ve been playing Castle Crashers since i bought the 360 version in 2009, and to finally see content creators making videos on it is very cathartic. That being said, I believe I know why PP-strello didn’t kill you when he hit you. Right before the hit landed, he left the ground. Perhaps the parameter for Insane Mode that gives his tongue attack 999 damage only triggers when he is standing on the ground. I could be wrong, but I think this has happened to you more than once, and I’ve observed the circumstances (edit: just realized that you put part 1 in here too 😂 ignore the part where I said it happened more than once). Love the video so far! I’m only 7:57 in

Did you know (at least on the switch version) you can use your shield to block the scarabs while they are underground? As in, when they are rolling towards you, they will bounce off of your shield and deal no damage. If your back is against the wall, then you can ensure you don't take any damage from their underground cycle. Also, you can block every single attack from the catfish with your shield, other than the hairball and the part where the catfish is underwater. This includes even the move where the panda enemy is held above the water and swung at you, meaning you can do the entire boss fight standing still except for moving down when the catfish moves towards the boat.

I had a similar thing happen with Pipistrello, i was doing insane recently to unlock my favorite character to play as but i am bad at juggling and i messed up at the boss and all his bats stunned me one after another, i didn't know he was a one shot but surprisingly when he reached me, he didn't attack until i broke free of the bats. I agree that he is the best boss now. You have way more patience than i do and congrats on beating what had to be the hardest challenge.

usually the insane troll mother is good for xp farming so ignoring the mother is usually the strat for that level anyways unless youre speedrunning. the mother comes to you anyways so eventually she will die just by you juggling the minions. i usually opt for less damage and do thieves forest on insane mode with 7 damage, and go from level 30-40 all the way to 90 in just 1 play through of the level

So to counter the hidden checkpoint BS of insane, and I know not a lot of people do it if it's PC or Xbox, but... Don't close the game/quit game, your best bet like on Switch or PlayStation is to just put it in sleep mode when you need a break. It saves so much time and it's still a pain though...

The checkpoints talked about during Flowery Fields are in normal mode too technically. At least on the Xbox 360 version, if you were to exit the game while in the middle of, say, Parade, you would load up the game with your progress set back to just finished Pipistrello
