So, watching his apology video again I get the impression that he's trying to portray a certain persona as an "influencer" on the livestreams but in the process he totally f*cked up as a CEO of a company that depends on public perception if they want anyone to buy their product. Regardless, he should have known that anyone and everyone will get called out when they go back on their word when there's EVIDENCE present and had he just been a bit of an asshole but then gave her and the others the PCs anyway then people would've just called him an asshole and moved on with life because he honored the initial stated terms of their agreement to work together.

The guy is an 'Influencer' and CEO and didn't think about the fact that both those things make him the face of his own company... This has total typical SF/LA dude (I've met this type in both places) is gonna start a business without thinking about how much work running a business is vibe. Stereotypical douchy guy creates a hipster PC building company literally call 'Artesian', makes himself CEO cause the title sounds bigger, and doesn't bother to get a decent CFO or at least accountant who can make sure they're filing their frickin' taxes regularly. California has all sorts of layers of taxes and paperwork you need to look out for. This is business 101 stuff, hire someone who knows how to navigate that and pick up your damn mail. It looks like since all this the address has been updated to their SF address so I guarantee that tax stuff is someone not getting the notices from the state and not having their head around the paperwork of owning a business in CA.

I dont mean to disrespect but how is streaming considered a hard job? While it requires talent and personality are you required to carry 100 pound cement bags, how about building a house, how about other difficult labor? While I believe streaming requires talent and time, help me understand how its considered harder than those jobs I mentioned above?
@lautarotrefilio47732 жыл бұрын
i see your point, but let me ask you something why does it matter if other jobs are harder? why does it matter that other people have to carry 100 pound cement bags? just because other people have it harder that does not invalidate the effort and work people in other fields put in

If I got hired for construction jobs i'll get told what to do what not to do, get paid in a week or two by the hour. Sure I'll be tired but I'll get used to it until my body disagrees with me. In a good part of the world I'll get weekends off or some nice overtime bonus. It's not much but it's a decent baseline. If I want to make a living as a streamer, I need be entertaining on stream for hours, day after day, making no money. Sure I can just sit there and play videogames with a camera on, but why would anyone watch me over 99% other streams on twitch? If I'm not constantly talking, reacting, trying to be entertaining, that one person who shows up to your stream and sees you not doing anything will just leave. There's no industry standard for being entertaining. No seniors or mentors to tell me how to stream. I have to grind out streams for weeks and monts to hopefully find the things that works for me, while making little to no money and hope it'll work out. Most people don't get anywhere before they need to find jobs to pay bills.
@XenosysVex2 жыл бұрын
Streaming is the most mentally demanding job I had ever had by far. All what you see is on camera. What you don't see is how mentally exhausted I am after the stream. You just don't hit the stream button and everything is fine. You have to be entertaining and interact with hundreds or thousands of people. Have you ever had a conversation with a hundred people? A thousand people? While doing this you still have to be entertaining and give people a reason to watch you. I could go on and on but I have worked many labor jobs and in certified to operate many pieces of equipment and I can tell you having lived both sides, streaming is by far the hardest job I've ever done. The mentally fatigue can be so bad sometimes it can ruin you as a person.
