I think Vestron is in hibernation mode right now. Their last release was Blue Steel in November 2023. There was also a time they didn't release anything for over a year and a half between 2018 through 2020.

That movie Creep on that 4 pack is pretty good. I saw it on Chiller a long time ago never forgot it. Some pretty gory and memorable kills in it.

I used to get laid off from work during the spring for a couple of months in the late 2000s early 2010s. I would have a yard sale and sell my collection every year or so. Ive always collected but wasn't serious until around 2013, 2014. I remember the multi packs but wasn't aware that they were so sought after. I had some of them.

The recent scavenger hunt for the $5 steelbooks was crazy! I collected about 14 I think. And just released a video showing them off. I still look for them. Ever if they are just about gone now.

Pretty sure I have that Re-animator one they mentioned. Had either Bride or Beyond Re-animator (maybe both?) and a bunch of the Return of the Living Dead sequels. I specifically remember that set because it's where I first saw RotLD3 and I've loved that movie ever since.

Great video guys. Eureka put out a really nice blu ray edition of 976-Evil a couple years ago. Highly recommend it. Never seen 976-Evil 2 though, gonna have to check it out.

2:07 Ohhh, the VHS story 😢 it's like Saving Private Ryan... so poignant and touching 😢 I know how you feel. In 2010, I got rid of +300 VHS... 2008-2010 that was the time when dvd was dying of success, and it seemed that old movies had no more space in the market. And Arrow was born 😂

I have several of these, also they are like VHS master scans and most are open Matte, so with a decent television and an up converting player can be cropped to 16:9 in a pretty decently watchable presentation (with realistic expectations of course). I have many of the Vestron Blu's, but still kind of like to watch these every once in a blue moon as they do have a nostalgia, and look like an immaculate VHS.

I always get a kick out of you guys talking about these releases. I remember the hoopla at the time, but i didn't get it. I was thinking why does anyone want those movies? Haha My walmart got a bunch of them in after a while, but they seemed to stay in the bin forever. Can't believe the passing of time

Yea it was wild. People were literally paying 100 dollars on eBay for these. The big reason is that a lot of these never saw the light of day since vhs and it was the only way to get them on disc.

At the time my local video store had them on VHS, and I had seen them and felt like they weren't worth all the hype. Now I wish I had bought the lot and sold them like you did haha. No hate on these

I'm not a big fan of multi-packs either unless it's a series of movies. Like I have a 3 pack of Spy Kids 1-3 but when it's a multi-pack of random titles I'd rather just own them individually, it's easier to organize them in the collection that way!
