SAme here. I just got my daughter reselling and have been texting her BOLOs from a BOLO book I have. She commented on the value of the "really old stuff" which were things from my youth! I guess I am "older than dirt" as one of my kids said!

Definitely no whining here about sales. Though to tell the truth, I don't whine even when sales screech to a halt. As we used to say all the time in retail when having a slow week: "Christmas Always Comes." Meanwhile I put out a new product category test in the eBay store about a month back and zowie!! I'm spending so much time packing multiple-item orders that I barely have time to do listing. (I'm a 1 man and 2 dogs operation. The dogs don't like to list.) Never get stuck in a rut, and never be so greedy with the status-quo that you give up testing.

I started selling on E-Bay with plush. as long as I can get it for less than a dollar and sell it for ten dollars or more I'm going to sell it. My son bought me a rollo printer for Christmas and it was the best thing ever for my E-Bay business. I even print my Thank You stickers with it!! Thanks Kevin!! . P.S. We have over 1,500 items and we sell a lot of plush and usually the items we think nobody wants are usually the items that sell fast. We are selling about 10 items a day. If we post 50 items daily we will typically sell 20 items daily. We never decline offers and we always counteroffer and we buy on eBay as well. We also sell on Posh-mark as well and do daily shows. We probably put in over 40 hours a week on our stores. It is so much fun. If you have any questions please let me know.

Per your DVD sale I love media selling! October I netted $140 from $5.25 cost in CDs and this month $80 net from $3.75 cost in CDs. Note those are 2 to 3 day open for sales months.They generally are not quick sale items though (might be if I could be open for business longer each month LOL). What I especially like is one net $10 CD sale pays for 40 CDs in inventory. Glad your sales are great and thanks ro the always excellent content. All the best...

So many resellers started during the pandemic. That was a reseller boom. More people selling, more people buying. Now that things have relaxed, sellers are seeing the reality. Hopefully this, (plus the $600+ tax) will thin the herd and trim the fat, and leave only us serious folks

Aloha Kevin- I’m just a part time reseller in Hawai’i. Like you I’m a former teacher. I have learned so much from your videos -awesome. I just love picking, but with the cost of living here, it’s getting harder and harder to find cheap items to flip. The other problem here is the cost of shipping. At most garage sales, I see people pricing things close to eBay prices, so not enough meat on the bone to flip. Just recently, I’ve begun going to the goodwill outlet. Although I’ve found some good items, even our bins are not priced by the pound. Each category is just priced separately. Anyway- any advice reselling from Hawai’i? Have you ever picked here? I appreciate everything you taught me. Mahalo, Leslie

I know you're a history guy, one thing I've noticed recently, while I picked up a very random hobby of watching old 70s/80s news-casts on youtube - is it doesn't matter the year or channel or month of broadcast, almost every single newscast I watch talks of SOME war/conflict in the same places in the Middle East as today's stories.... and even the Eastern European states too... All of these people keep saying it's ww3, but, it's been going on forever.. is it really any different or worse now? Also, watching these old newscasts, you realize there's always been the same depravity and crime that we see today... my theory is back then in the 80s you had to make a more conscious choice to subject yourselves to the 'bad news' of the world.. NOW we have 24-7 news channels, we have social media, everything else just blasting us with the 'bad news' all day everyday, you can't scroll through your feed looking for sports scores without a million images of bad news.

I used to have a wired rollo printer but when wireless came out I wanted one till I had seen the price. I looked around on Amazon and found a nice Bluetooth printer just like a rollo called Jadens. I have used it for about a year now and have never had any issues. It’s $90 and does the same thing as the $280 rollo printer. I just wanted to let others know there is cheaper options out there that work the same.
@y2ksurvivor Жыл бұрын
Thanks for that! I've thought about getting a Jadens bluetooth printer pretty often but I hadn't seen any truly reliable reviews on Amazon.. except from very recent purchasers. I was worried it wouldn't last. I'm so happy to hear from a reseller who uses a Jadens printer often and it still works great a year later. I've noticed Jadens often participates in Amazon Prime Days which would make it even cheaper, hopefully, so I might have to finally give Jadens a go. I could really use a wireless option that won't break the bank and that won't need to be replaced in 6 months. Appreciate your info, truly.
@martinmang1 Жыл бұрын
@@y2ksurvivor you won’t regret it. I to was worried it was going to be cheap but when I got it I realized its designed just like the rollo plus I think it comes with a label holder.
