it is Koreasilt and it will burn again and it burns really hot. You can even probably take the ashes and put it on your trails during the winter and take down the slipperiness of the ice.

Well, I actually did quit my day job for this...! I am the wife who is always filming my awesome family. I am a licensed optometrist in Alaska and I choose to make this life work. I practiced optometry for 20 years. Was a great run, but with all the changes in the world I feel better just being around my family. Yes we are making WAY less money, but I guess there is a price for everything right? I can relate to you, if you ever do plan on living this lifestyle keep watching us to learn. We are not afraid to show our failures as well as success stories. It's about a 50/50 ratio with us! LOL. Thank you for watching Christian!...Feel free to ask us anything...thank you for the positive comment!

I hate that you are having tractor troubles. I wish I could help you with it but from what you described you need to attend to it soon. The front differential on one of my tractors was making a similar noise and lets just say I wish I had taken it apart sooner than I did 😟. It would have saved a lot of time and money.

Poping and clanking every rotation sounds more like a U joint rather than a shaft issue. Most of those shafts are splined and way stronger than a 20yr old worn U joint. Eventhough you cant see the U joints in the front shaft there there

Absolutely and you are probably correct! I sure appreciate the comment and that you care enough to comment, so thank you. If only I knew things in life like this only existed when I was younger, wise, and in better health.🤔 Do you just visualize it when the roof of the cabin needs shoveling or is there a warning like a leak? I ask these questions because of zero AK experience. Had winters in NY not like AK. Now in FL, totally different. I have to mention Alaskans are true hard workers, not lazy. They can handle what winter throws at them. The Panhandle of Florida had bad tornadoes Tuesday morning. Not near us. Good night for now. Are the kids happy there?
@Alaskan6pack9 ай бұрын
Well we are glad the tornadoes were not where you are.! How scary! ... We have earthquakes here, not tornadoes. We remove snow for extra income for customers. They usually let us know if there is a leak in their home or they are scared huge chunks of ice will come off. We try not to do 2 story homes as you can imagine the danger is extreme! The kids absolutely love it here in Alaska. They have had plenty of opportunities to visit relatives in Oregon but don't want to leave the state.! LOL. Yes I agree Alaskans are some of the toughest people I have met. They are very real and genuine, but can be very scrappy too! We are from Oregon and moved here to get away from the "rat race" feel. Never planning on moving out of Alaska. However I can tell you a nice vacation to Florida or Arizona sounds great when it's dark and cold here in the winter! We sure do miss the sun! Take care, thanks for watching!

@Alaskan6pack9 ай бұрын
Thank you for caring, we do too. We bought the red snow shovel at our local small hardware store. Willow Hardware Store is a true old fashioned hardware store. They are amazing. It was about 75.00 there. I wonder if the big box stores would carry them?. I do know the family loves that shovel over all the other ones! Jeff and Hudson are clearing off a roof today and are using it. We will probably post another video showing it in use. Well at least we are getting a small break from the snow here!
