Randy Orton vs Cody Rhodes is better as an organically growing personal feud rather than an obligatory championship match. Meanwhile Gunther vs Priest won’t be that kind of feud.

This could just be the catalyst for a feud. Summerslam is a few months away. You could get Randy involved in storyline with Cody after King and Queen of the Ring, leading up to SummerSlam. First as allies. Even have him help Cody retain his title by stopping interference. But have some tension build between them. Have Orton finally snap and turn heel. After the heel turn, you could even have them trade the title back and forth with Cody winning the feud. It would be a change of pace from the long title reigns we have gotten. As long as you can make the title changes make sense in storyline.

@dominicsmith743 That would be a good call back to the Cena and Ortan feuds they traded the title nearly every 2 ppv so it would be a good way to break the cycle of a long title run with also adding credibility to Cody but having more under his belt, he can even take a break and go after Logan and become a Grand Slam champion then back again dethrone Randy by that time, Randy should be tied with Cena and Flair if not broken the Record also.....Just in time for Roman/Rock to be back for Mania or for next year Summerslam

I think part of the heat for CM Punk is gonna be costing Drew the title match in the UK, embarrassing him in front of his entire country as part of their pity feud as he promised to make Drew's life hell and I think Punk (in story) will deliver on that promise. Neither Punk nor Drew need the title for Summer Slam, and Drew winning the title later through MITB actually adds to the irony which has been a consistent element in his current character arc and gives more storylines and arcs for Drew to go on because MITB might be his shot to win the title from Gunther, igniting a feud for the next WM where Drew actually beats Gunther.

Well drew vs priest is also a heel vs heel so it can work imo especially if punk isn’t available by then Balor vs priest shouldn’t be for the title and imo balor as great as he is shouldn’t be WC when there are many people who should have that title and would only hold it for max 2 months Gunther also should not be taking a loss or pinned twice in two months even if it’s Randy orton cuz rn Gunther is just a a more hot commodity looking into future he’s basically like Roman reigns someone who should rarely be pinned or lose in general

As much as I wanna see Cody Rhodes vs Randy Orton I still believe that match should happen at Wrestlemania instead of rushing it, I think a heel king randy would be next level if they book it right for summerslam if the rock is not available since he’s out shooting another movie. However If randy orton lose to tama tunga due to bloodline interference to cost him, tama will lose to gunther unless triple h is willing to go the extra mile by having Tama defeat gunther, make him king but giving it to solo sikoa so that when the rock and Roman comes back it’ll make the storyline even more interesting.

It's way too early in the game for Randy Orton to start turning Heel, his face work has been absolutely amazing ever since he reignited his fues with the bloodline. I heard alot of great things of Randy's heel work, but to me he just doesn't seem like that kind of guy.

The king of the ring title belongs to Gunther. Leave that out! But we also wanna see Cody vs Orton at SummerSlam and later turn heel! So, it's best for Orton to make it in some other way, without winning this tournament. There's time, so hopefully Triple H and the creative team will find a way.
