Let me start by saying thank you for the info on both trailers. It was very helpful & i am in the market for a new trailer like one of them. My 33 years as a flatbed otr driver now hotshot has made me look at the bigtex to even custom trailers ending up with a winner being maxxD the 12" support and lower price is a WINNER. thanks again sir for the best show and tell out.

I went with the load trail fitted with 8k axels,12OC,side door option and fork holder and stayed actually a couple grand under the pjs and maxxd. I think load trail is more price friendly after optioned out. Great video!

Who's more superior when it comes to dump trailers between these two brands?
@HappyTrailerSales4 ай бұрын
@@anythingadrenaline4515 good question! Both brands have done some great work with their dump trailers. Diamond C has integrated an engineered frame with almost all of their dump trailers, and MAXX-D has the Tuff wireless remote standard on all of their dumps. It's a close race! I'll post some compassions between some dump models very soon 👌🏼

Diamond C was a leader but they are falling behind, especially in their DET tilt deck lineup.

Can you get me a deal on a 40k dump setup

The roll-off dumps are not available in a 40k setup unfortunately! But we can get you a standard sized roll-off package if you're interested!

What actually can pull a 40k trailer? Gooseneck. F350 is 45600 we have. Honestly they best on paper numbers unless your 2wd. Or supercab 4x4 but didn’t mean anything cause it’s rated to tow a lot but the gcwr can’t add up but to a 30k. 450 can’t haul that much or anything else by paperwork.

45600 is gcwr btw

@@codyg301 most often, we see these pulled with a 5500 truck or a single axle semi. You're correct though, an F-350 is not enough truck to handle everything that a 40k trailer can do!
@danielmorris-ruckett913Ай бұрын
With the weight of the trailer dropping. Payload wise, this would be just within a 4500s capabilities with not upfit. Just straight chassis. So in all practical scenarios a 5500 and ups the way to go. In terms of towing weight. You'd need an up tuned 5500 or just get a semi

Look at either a Freightliner M2 or International MV the M2 can be had with either a Detroit DD13 and Cummins L9 and the MV has the Cummins B6.7 with up to 350 HP but the M2 covers 260-525 HP depending with motor you like. The MV does get you an Allison Trans Auto but can be set up with the Eaton 9 speed. I forget the M2's Trans options. For heavy Hauling full time either on is a grate setup and both can be had with Crew cabs and even custom sleeper cabs. If you have either without a bed then they are considered "Tractors" and you get a longer length for OTR. With trailers of these size/weight I would waste my time with a 5500. Your all ready going to need to keep your CDL with those weights anyway. I will say if your just hauling farm or mid weight heavy equipment to local job sights then the 5500 would probably hold up but your also probably buying to much of a trailer for that in the first place. JMHO. Hope this helps a little if you haven't all ready gotten your setup.
@danielmorris-ruckett91322 күн бұрын
@larzakalazerath6655 you'd be wasting a lot of the freight liners potential at that point for more cost. Less fuel efficiency than a 5500. And the hitch weight wouldn't be beyond a 5500's capability.
