Glad drivers ok, in all honesty that truck doesnt look all that bad. That twist mostly came out when they rolled her back over. I towed for 20 years, hated frameless dumps. Ive seen a lot worse come back than that. She needs a cab/hood/sleeper. Without seeing closely, the frame looks pretty good. The axle mounts will be the tell tale when you get it back to the shop tho.

Standing around those wrecker cables under load is dangerous!! Wrecker operators rarely weight the line midway in case the line or connection breaks. That cable breaking loose will fly through the air and cut through steel, let alone human bodies.

@juliogonzo27185 ай бұрын
@yanevaknow1017 I was a tow operator for 12 years and definitely saw some winch cables let go being used less than their rated capacity. Usually it gets a little "wow" in it from getting tangled and crushed on the winch drum. This is where it will later break on a hard pull. I always tried to keep mine wound straight but even then sometimes if the cable is side loaded it will pile up on the side of the drum before you notice. The one heavy wrecker I ran the winches were slightly misaligned with the direction of the cable. That one would get messed up all the time and it was a pain. It piled up and broke the air release off it once while i was winching a highway plow. It can break by being against something sharp you didn't see in time too. Just keep out of the direction it will fly and it's pretty safe. If I was doing a hard pull and they were letting traffic flow I'd get the cops to stop traffic if I thought it was getting risky.
