I'm glad you are being honest about it. I can't deny that I really miss those days with Brandon. Actually you guys help me get interested in VFX, and now I'm working doing vfx for the Thor Ragnarok, so I couldn't thank you enough. But at the same time i feel (here it comes the whining) that when you and Brandon "broke up" you guys didn't give enough explanation for everyone that loved FreddieW channel. I still hope for someday to see you guys make a together explaining what really happened, and who knows, make a short together just to say a proper goodbye. I mean, they're right. i subscribed to this channel back when it was FreddieW with BrandonJLA and i LOVED its content, CRAVED the workings of that duo. But they split up and pursued different things, VGHS period was good, they still had shorts but i didnt expect the old type of videos to come back. Now my favourite channel is Corridor and their extended channels, Sam&Niko and Node. Even Brandon is a close part of that group, in the same building.

I think the problem isn't that you guys aren't making little shorts or even content on KZbin. There is this space of time for a while that seemed like you guys kinda left us. We love everything you guys create but it doesn't feel like we've really been a part of it since vghs. We know that KZbin isn't practical for making money anymore so I don't think we expect you guys to drop everything and make shorts again to just make us happy. In my opinion, the KZbin-Community Idiology is plain right stupid. Here is what you think: You think by forming a boykott to a channel you will send a message to the channel to go back to it's original state. What really happens is, that you twist the relationship between subscriber and channel into a blackmail situation. And at some point the Author will ask himself, if he really wants to support a bunch of blackmailers with content. All your behavior is part of a death spiral, that will only lead to a faster downfall of the channel and every party looses in the end. I found a way that works for me pretty well. I don't care about regular content on KZbin. So if the channel puts out a video after a long time, I'm not like: "OMG WHY DID THIS TAKE SO LONG!?!?" instead I'm like: "OMG he still exist. And he made a new Video. I hope it's good!" And the best thing is, in the time between, the channel did not flood my timeline with videos I don't care about (this is the main reason for me to unsubsribe to a channel). I've seen it with a bunch of channels by now and it's just sad. The community of a channel, destroys it's own channel. And the KZbin algorythms are not helping in this at all.

just because their youtube channel is dying, doesn't mean they are going to be gone too. They are smart, and used the money they got from youtube to branch out and make their own series. Dimension 404 is a huge step in the right direction for them. I guarantee that hulu is paying them a lot more than if they put it up on youtube. Also hulu helped fund the show, youtube does no such thing. KZbin's structure can't support a company that wants to create their own feature length films and series, which is what they want to do. They want to be film makers, not youtubers.

I remember when FreddieW was a pioneer of special effects on KZbin. This channel truly was one of the first to introduce high quality content, editing, acting, and special effects to internet video. I've always liked this KZbin Channel, how they do all of those videos that make me laugh. My favourite series was the Video Game Highschool, it kinda related to me so I really enjoyed it. Hope they keep making videos no matter what type of video it is!

This actually might be a thing, if Big KZbin channels that use to do a lot of cool content consistently get burnt out of making the content that got them big to begin with, then would it be safe to say that the lesser known channels can come in and do videos similar to what some of the Big Channels use to do and gain notoriety without being bashed on by the KZbin community? The fact is that their original videos were so good that it's hard to believe anyone could do something at the same level. Moreover, the characters, the locations and the overall sensations they were able to convey, are, in my opinion, something that simply cannot exist outside RocketJump.

I agree, but I think it's disheartening when people decide to make content that other people want to see and when it is made, the community labels them a copy cat or clone. I think that when big channels get tired of making certain content, they should pass the torch to a channel that does similar content often so that people who really enjoy that type content have a place to see what they want to see. Y'know?

Cloud CJay this happens all the time. Pewdiepie. Markiplier. Every (rare) good Minecraft youtuber. Rocket jump managed to find other platforms and stay largely consistent in their work. Very few can say they survived, let alone stayed consistent this long.
