Lars imo has been a good tourney character for a bit or at the very least one where somebody strong with him can surprise and catch people off guard. I remember going to a lot of smaller locals in T7 era where somebody would pop up with Lars and just throw people for a loop because everybody was expecting the usual but the person rolled up with playing him in such a smarter way. It's kinda like how Katerina was.

Facts. I remember CBM, Nobi, Strog, and Binchang all being really strong with Lars. Binchang even won the TOC over Joey Fury with Lars.

Some ideas for Lars buffs: Add a 3 and a 4 move to LEN stance that is safe but doesn't launch,then make the 2 tornado launch on normal hit ,Heat version normal launch. 1,1,1 needs to wall splat on normal hit again (T8 removed this btw) B1 hard tailspin.

Im enjoying watching ur lars. Lars was the first char for me. That i reached Fujin with.. now im at tek king with 4 different chars. Ne way. Lars is a punish god. With amazing footsies. His b3.. ff1+2.. an he has solid mix. The only thing lars doesnt have. Is parries. So if u can sidestep well at all. And know when its ur turn. Lars is a monster

I'd say gimmicky more than cheesy. I recently picked him up since the last time I used him was in t7, and a lot of his weaknesses are still very apparent. He's a bit tricky to deal with because of his 50/50's and flowcharts but also are risky especially when the player is predictable with them. He's the most fun character to lab imo due to his flashy moves and transitions, and one time it took me almost 2 hours just labbing him😂. But yeah, he's stronger and a lot than his t7 version but not the same level as drag, alisa, jin, feng, etc. I'm a mishima main btw.
