I have the same one, different brand, sofar a few months in and used several times, no problems. Feels ok and doesn't vibrate too much in my opinion. Also own a cheap cordeded one that makes more noise than performance and a 12V battery one wich works ok but when put to real use drains the battery too quick.

Thank you for the input. I'm working on some other videos right now, but later I may make a video showing off this tool in action.

these knock off tools are ok when you consider the price of the genuine makita tool but not for the professional worker, only the guy who wants a multi tool a couple of times a year. i'm considering buying one now to put in the tool cupboard i allready have a genuine makita driver drill and impact drill set with 2 batteries i got a knock off 5 inch angle grinder and it works fine i think you pick and choose your tools, drills get used a lot so genuine is the go

I'd pay 30 shipped for it. probably be okay for now and then in a pinch use. Kinda neat on the switch really. when it goes bad anyone would have one in junk drawer

I've bought one and the head screws rattle out all the time, might have to locktite them in, or use some sprung washers

so I've found its still absolutely useless, once the blades are about a cm in its seems to stop vibrating as if its wedged, , But it seems ok for cutting plasterboard,,, luckily I complained and they sent another , so now I have 2 useless multitools..

I completely see the point of the youtuber not recommending this tool as it arrived broken. For those who don't intend to use it for more than one ore two jobs around the house, if it works great. I bought it for some tricky woodwork and just realised, if it works it will do plenty of other awkward jobs around the house.

Interesting point

And...how it works in practice at the end? seems like a good cheap option for light duty work
@SparkY03 жыл бұрын
I would say it meets the expectation of light duty work. My big 5AH battery makes it heavier and a bit bulkier than a light duty oscillating tool with a cord, so there is a trade-off. I bought this tool for a project in a tight space near an outlet, so I think I would have been better off with a less-expensive wired tool. I can't really recommend the OneVan tool since mine arrived non-functional, and you can get a light duty corded tool for around $25 at harbor freight and walmart. The tool did not include any battery. You should only consider this tool if you already have Makita batteries and you also can't get the job done with a wired tool. You may also want to consider some of the other off-brand cordless oscillating tools available on amazon for $60-$80, which do include a battery. I have not yet tested any of those, but I think it is reasonable to assume they be built similarly to this one. I'm seeing one from WESCO with a 2AH battery for $60 plus a $10-off coupon, which makes it less expensive than this OneVan tool. It looks like there's plenty of good options out there, at least in the prices they show to my part of the US. I hope you have good luck finding one that works for you :)

@@SparkY0 thanks for your reply, I already have makita batteries, and want a tool to cut some wood for cabinets in the house, ceramic repairs-maintenance in the house, some sanding-polish all in the house or this last in the car....that means to me light dutty....I also know electronics, so in case of repair..the real problem is that I own G series makita batteries, that seems to need a bit of work for adaption..I thinking in a cheap tool like this to play and make the adaption in-the-tool instead to mess with the batteries...also think as you said, maybe a corded works better for my needs XD.. Regards

This is NOT Makita knockoff. It doesn't look like any Makita tool - just pure Chinesium engeenering. Makita knockoffs look like Makita tools but without logo, and they are worth the money for hobby use (OFC buy legit ones if you can). This one only accepts Makita batteries, and besides color it's the only thing it have in common with Makita. There is no Makita multitool knockoff at this moment if i remember correctly. There are angle grinders/impact wrenches etc. :)

It uses the color and takes the batteries. That's a knockoff in my book. Splitting hairs, but if it were trying to use the Makita design, then I probably would have called it a clone or counterfeit.

Hi. Thanks for the video...Helpful. I also bought one of these tools. Mine says 'Drill pro', but it's the same tool. I am curious about the blade holding possibilities. Some of the lever release multi tools allow the rod to come out so one could use a blade that is closed. Does the rod come out of this one? Is it possible to remove the screw top so a closed blade can be attached? I would really appreciate a video showing how to use the release lever and what possibilities there are.
@SparkY02 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure about a rod, but It looks like the blade retainer can unscrew so that a closed blade will go directly on the post without using the quick release lever.

A would thought would be ok I have the grinder and for 18 pound what a payed for it it’s payed for it’s self the first day and still using it a year later
@SparkY02 жыл бұрын
I have the grinder too, or at least a similar knockoff makita grinder, but I haven't used it yet. I just can't recommend the oscillating tool to other people when it arrived non-functional and clearly untested at the factory.
