I didn’t realize how much I’ve learned from watching your videos until yesterday, when my mom’s car broke down and i had to go load it on a trailer and pull it home. That doesn’t sound too complicated but I’m 17 and I’ve never done that before. I would’ve been really lost if I hadn’t seen you guys do that hundreds of times. Thank you so much, you guys are awesome!

@@ofmyownaccord not at all, been watching for a couple years..... To be clear I wasn't surprised in the slightest they didn't have jumper cables, least shocking thing ive seen in weeks. My comment is specifically about how they added all kinds of things to the wrecker build they regularly needed and didn't ever have prior to building the wrecker (air, boom for lifting, basic hand tools, storage, welder) i think its odd permanent jumper cables didn't make the list. I watched all the wrecker build videos and never once saw it come up.

To be fair to the ones on the muddy road. It was a fairly long steep hill, the idea of losing traction mid way or nearly on top and simply sliding downwards again is fairly darn scary. So I understand why'd they instead just called someone that knew what they were doing.

Honestly, unless it's calibrated for muddy surfaces like the system in the Bronco, the traction control can be your biggest enemy when you're trying to get through mud. Traction control tends to be excellent for keeping a car on the road, but pretty terrible after they depart it.

Too bad everyone wasn't so great full & respectful! You could tell the owner of the white Chevy was so thankful! Donuts are always a plus! Almost as if the gut was a cowboy! Honest appreciation makes it worth it! Here in western Idaho we have alot of Clay & it looks fine... the next thing your in trouble, big mud tires need a ton of wheel speed just to start clearing... BFG ATs are great for snow & Ice but worthless in clay. A good shower & the top is greasy for several days unless the sun bakes it dry. We use heavy tire chains & winches to recover a rig or you become another obstacle lol.

I had a buddy who splashed through a puddle and then his truck wouldn't start. It wasn't hydrolocked, the air filter was just wet. We took it out and the truck ran fine. Once the filter dried out no more issue. That Observation Point road is no joke! I've been convinced that my car was going to be stuck down that hill 3 or 4 times and it wasn't close to that bad. That mud is just slick snot. Do not go up the North Fork/East Mesa road when it's wet unless you absolutely have to, and then be really sure.

Hey Matt and crew, was watching an older video and you mentioned burning out Alternators, something I have done in the past using high powered stereo amps and subs, without upping the size of the Alternator is using Deep cycle batteries, mainly used in boat applications they "drain" slower, coupled with a capacitor will help reduce the draw on your Alternators. Hope that helps. Keep up the great work.

I used to work on Audis. Most of the time when they come into the workshop the lower cover is held on with cable ties. If you go to use the screw in tow point that screws into the bumper be careful. They are more of a screw in tiedown point than a towing or jerking point as they cam be torn out of the bumper causing damage. I've seen the results of an 80 series landcruiser with a strechy tow strap tow an audi 80 up a steep grass bank. He took a run with it and it pulled out destroying the fitting and leaving a dent in the tailgate from the screw in hook. LOL Ended up getting a tow truck to get the car out.

I assumed they hadn't done it because of the wires coiled up there that they clearly haven't finished connecting yet.

If this is the Meadow hot springs, I had to winch out a truck from the mud back in April. We were soaking in the springs when a guy thought he could make it through. Luckily we were able to winch him out quickly.

I was just sitting here in my recliner with my I-Pad propped up on my ample belly, watching your most recent video. I looked down and realized I was wearing my Off-Road Wrecker Games t-shirt I got when attending the games last year! Does that make me a SUPER FAN? 😂

When Matt asks if he could drive through the mud hole next to the Chevy I laughed because the Wreaker made it look like a puddle. Rhett's really taking after his dad and then some. Jefe's Bronco is getting better all the time. Keep up the great work guys.

In Hellberta's Oilfields we call this mud, "Loonshit". Loonshit swallows Lexus, Audis and yes 4x4's too. Great channel as Matt pound out more great and relevant content to his dedicated viewers.👏

Great recovery! Deep mud for sure. Glazed donuts can't be beat. I agree with Matt. Krispy Kreme is the best. Thanks for the explanation on headliner for the wrecker. Merry Christmas!

Most audi's and vw's come with a tow hook located in the trunk. Pop a cap off of the front or rear and the tow hook screws in.

I'm not a Ford person but I am impressed by that Bronco. Today wasn't any test but just saying! Do you realize that all German cars have tow hooks in the trunk and screw points under caps in the front and rear bumpers?

First thing I do to those chevys is unplug the mass air sensor if they get wet. It tricks the computer in to default mode. Worked on half a dozen in the past “to get them home”

I wonder if the crank sensor got muddied/frozen up and that’s why it isn’t firing over. Or maybe something got ripped off going on.. being that it ran before it went into the mud, I’d bet it’s something going on in with the crank signal. Too damn convient that it ran before it got stuck.
