I actually do think Matt's wrecker is the coolest. The rest of them just look like lifted pickups with a boom in the back, Matts looks like something special. Quick tip though. When you're shaking a vehicle like Colin is around 12:30 to see if it will roll over, do it from up hill so it doesn't roll over onto you.

I have never missed a video to my knowledge but I don't know why the jeep is called the 'Rental jeep'. Is it or was it? I have said it many times but I just love everything about the Morrvair especially its sound. It might have the same brand muffler as the other builds but to me it sounds the best and it being a Corvair has to surprise some customers like the 4 dr Ram with a heavy cummins and a 35' camper buried frame deep in the sand being pulled out by a 61 Lakewood is just hard to imagine. Can you imagine telling your buddies that?

Those general road assistance services like triple A are pretty bad as far as not willing to do anything beyond what they regulated they will do. And sometimes even what you are paying for them to do. I had premium Triple A, and my car's manual gear shift burnt out. My premium service was that they would be able to tow it to my home. But they told the driver to not take me home, it was ten miles away and I didn't have coverage for it. Just to tow me to the nearest exit off the highway. But when the driver got there, he was local, and saw I was only a mile away and I showed him my premium card. he was like screw them and took me home. We no longer have triple A, why pay for something monthly that may not even be willing to help.

I called them and signed up because I needed a new battery on a Saturday morning in a suburb of a major city. After signing up they told me their battery replacement service didn't cover my location. The only thing they could do was tow me to a mechanic shop that wouldn't be open until Monday. They wouldn't even tow me to an auto parts store so I could just buy a new battery and change it myself in the parking lot.
@neaituppi7306
@neaituppi7306 7 ай бұрын
@@pizzamangametime9773 Yeah, I am sure sometimes they will work out. Like any service. And the "driver" did tow me home. But it was the phone service people, that were really bad. Vindictive. They straight up lied to the driver telling him not to tow me anywhere but the nearest exit, not even to a place that would be safe for my car to leave, because I had all my electrical tools in it. I asked for a supervisor, and the second person was probably just another phone service person, and they seemed angry that I even requested that, but I never yelled at them.
@neaituppi7306
@neaituppi7306 7 ай бұрын
@@ab130 Yeah, they seem absolutely unwilling to deviate from their rules, even if they leave the driver unsafe. I had all my tools in the car, and they didn't care that leaving it on the side of the road off the highway could leave it to being broken into. And I had premium service. I will never use Triple A again. I filed a complaint and they never even responded back.

When my brother and I were hooking the jib sail onto the forestay his sailboat, he lost the pin to the shackle, which holds the sale onto the forestay. It was in about 8 feet of water and a couple inches of silt at the bottom. We dove down and graded the bottom with our fingers, just like you did in the sand here and eventually found the pin! We were able to go sailing. It was awesome.

Adapter is backwards. Plus it's a POS adapter in the 1st place. Plus with the paddle tires on way wide rims there is huge leverage on the adapter. My Baja Bug had 4 to 5 lug adapters made of 1/2" plate. I use them hard in rocky desert because I use it for pre running. I'm a retired offroad racer, but our team is still quite active and just won the Baja Bug class at the Mint 400. I have no problems with my adapters. Those adapters on that buggy would never get loaded on the trailer to leave home over here.

In computer science a Divide and Conquer algorithm follows how Kaulin used it - to split a problem into smaller identical problems. Searching through a space (e.g. computers memory) for something would be a great example where the computer can search the space 4 times as fast by dividing it into 4 separate and equal sized chunks and having it search all 4 chunks at the same time instead.

Serious points to the RZR driver for understanding his situation and getting help...... Most hairy chested young guys would have tried to power out.......With some nasty consequences.

Jefe walks into the shop in the morning and turns on the light and sees the sand rail. To his initial rhetorical question, "What is this"? Matt should simply reply THIS is a demonstrative pronoun and walk away. Thus (1) answering the question what was asked; (2) giving Jefe a grammar lesson; and, (3) practicing for his oral part of the Utah Bar exam. LOL 🤣🤣

Correct answer should be rhetorical as well! where in the business does it say Jefe Offroad.

I still haven't figured out why you guys don't carry a land anchor, especially when you are in the dunes. It wasn't necessary for these jobs, but I have seen you do quite a few jobs where it would have really helped.

I like all of the tow trucks Watt listed but for different reasons. For what they are and where the work they are all cool and capable. design wise I rank them as Matt's 1 Chads Fab 2 and a toss up between Fab Rats and Rory's trail mater.

Matt, you need to keep some of those moving blankets from Harbor Freight. They are great for laying on and when they get dirty just throw them in the washer or when they get tore up throw them away.

Hey Matt. I believe I remember when u put the wrecker together you used kodiak brake pads. If so powerstop makes pads that won't squeal like those do. I hope that helps.

I been waiting for Matt to build a buggy like Rorys green buggy, it's a versatile vehicle and you don't have to worry about damaging it much as it's easily repairable compared to a normal truck.

I think that's why Rory just rattlecans his vehicles, rather than take them to Robby: He knows that paint job will get scratched up the first time he uses it. No problem: Just go to Home Depot and get another can of Rustoleum.

I thought that Matt had impact powered fingers because he has spun wrenches his whole life until he said that they were finger tight. The heavy wrecker needs some small yellow wheel fenders that don't get in the way. Piant the rims yellow to break it up a little. Gr8 video.

I would be interested and I think others as well, have interest in learning more about your team. You could do a 5 or 6 question interview style introduction of all the members of the team. It could be a spot that appears in other videos or a standalone video that features everyone. It could be a five or six question interview and cover topics like job title and responsibilities, length of employment, outside interest or hobbies and maybe a story about a favorite or memorable recovery and even a favorite recovery vehicle from your exotic fleet of magnificent machines. If you ever need an expert of recovering stuck wheelchairs I would be happy to lend my extensive knowledge of getting one stuck, I am not so good on the getting unstuck part though.

Hey Matt, you got enough credibility that if you was to mention to the car companies hey why don’t you make all those points standard size I’m talking about where you were going to hook onto the front of that Toyota and the kit wasn’t in the car and if they made them all standard You could have a bolt or bolt or something like that with you to hook into anyhow that’s something to think about see if someone like me was dimension that they would just tell me to go fly a kite you you got credibility and stuff like that try to see what you can do with that. That would be a good thing Matt all right this is six in a row.Jim again anyways, you’re a good dude man and your wife is a lovely lady also and that whole crew you have great people all right man this country needs about 1 million more guys like you

I like tying my vulnerable keys to about a foot of red reflective paracord or a foot and a half doubled over. Makes finding them lots easier even at night. And the cord makes it easy to pull out from between seats and door sill. Try it
