Unfortunately, the entire goal of CPS isn't "what is best and healthiest for the child," but instead, "reunification of the family." It's the same in my state, too -- far too many children are separated from loving parents & grandparents under extremely deceitful conditions (there's even a term for it within the system -- "legal kidnapping"), while thousands of other children are left to suffer in abusive or neglectful households from which they should obviously be removed, or shuffled from one abusive foster home to the next until they turn eighteen. In my state, caseworkers & social workers are often found guilty of fraud -- they withhold & destroy evidence, fabricate evidence, & frequently seek to permanently terminate parental rights unnecessarily. It's an all-around corrupt & broken system that needs a complete & total overhaul.

Having her account taken down is ONE of the things that must happen, but it's not enough because she already has tons of videos of her daughter on internet, also, her accountis taken down from tiktok, then she opens another one or just go to another social media, also, there's this VERY plausible theory that her content is custom made. She can't even be with her daughter actually, Wren should be with her grandmother. But still, those are individuals and short-term consequences and actions, we NEED some legal regulations on internet, we can't allow AI companies to freely harvest everyone's social media, we can't allow social media companies "blindly" sort and recommend suspicious child content like that, in those specific cases, "I suspect it's explicit child content" should be a easy and effective option anyone could use to take down contents like this and not just as useless as any other reporting option (they should be more effective in general, anyways). I think it's a good indicator if a parent is afraid, because these things do happen, but also it means they're aware of the dangers and can take measures to prevent it. For instance, I think it's great that more people are realizing they shouldn't be happily posting their child online for everyone to see, or that unlimited access for a child to the internet can be dangerous. More people should be talking to their kids, warning them about the dangers and how to recognize red flags and signs of grooming.

My kids are adults. We've always lived far from the rest of our family. Facebook was a great way to stay connected. It was easier for our less computer savvy loved ones too. My privacy settings were always strict and I was careful about what I shared. Our kids were able to approve what we shared from early on. When they were old enough to have their own accounts, they took over staying in touch with family. Their accounts were private and we had to be able to see what they posted until they were adults. They each had a public social media account for art/photography/hobby specific, but no identifying information in public view. I think social media can be used in a responsible way and can be a good way to stay in touch with loved ones when distance is an issue. I think minor labor laws and other protections should apply to social media. Content with kids being monetized should be restricted way more than it is right now. At the very least, social media should be treated like television, movies and advertising with child actors. That really isn't enough since family reality shows are also problematic, but it's at least an improvement over the wild west of social media.

The clip of Jacquelyn at 6:01 made me very uncomfortable. Why does she keep saying “help her” “help wren gain followers.” Wren is 4. She doesn’t care her follower count plateaued in October - that’s Jacquelyn caring about followers and revenue and framing it as if social media fame is 4 year old daughter’s dream.

Yep. It's pretty fine being poor. People are lovely and help, and you find you don't need so much, and you find yourself giving as well as taking, which is lovely. I've been extremely poor, but I didn't do Of or anything like that because it'd hurt my kids and poverty with respect and integrity is better than riches and you sold your soul.
