At first I was like, "Nah Kidd, Cee is right they never had the 500k and the wife is lying." Then they talked to the notary and also the guy confessed about stealing/hiding the money, and I thought "Ok my bad Kidd I guess they did have 500k after all." But then it turned out the notary lied about being there! Smh. The worst part is that the couple being tied to the anchor made me remember that I'd already watched the original video so I should have known about the 500k to begin with. In my defense I think my trash memory is a product of binge watching because it makes you less likely to retain the information long term. Anyway, these people were really sloppy and almost got away it, so it makes me think about how many violent acts slightly smarter criminals have gotten away with and never got caught and never will.

As always I am glad that you have been reacting to Mr. Ballen's content. This story is eerie and feels dark. Wow that guy, Skylar, is one twisted and manipulative, evil man. This story pissed me off, just like it did to you because how can a person do this to a human being. I am glad that the wife was just as guilty as her husband.

Seriously? I know this is Monday morning quarterbacking, but why ol dude took his wife out on a boat with three guys he doesn’t know? Even IF I were feeling comfortable, I’d tell her to stay at the dock with the woman and her kid, just out of an abundance of caution. Granted I’m the type that built her a panic room in our house but maybe I just trust people less than this guy. Odd though since he was a corrections officer.
