This is our favourite Chinese on the island, no matter where we stay we always get a taxi to eat and watch the sun set over the bay. We spent a few night there on our last visit and took a wonder to Boulevard for a beer which DJ recommend.

I’m a bit late watching this. Absolutely stunning sunny warm weather there in Tenerife. I cannot believe a four flight from the UK and you can be in a hot place like Tenerife. Also, €35 with that view and temperature is a bit of a gift so i cant be doing with the "could be cheaper" part. That pub singer was a treat - took me back to Las Americas in the 1990s. Most Chinese restaurants and takeaways in the UK, or Tenerife for that matter, serve Cantonese food and Westernised versions of Cantonese food at that. And Cantonese food is just a small part of the vast array of Chinese cuisines. I'm in no position to judge though as my go-to Chinese dish is Singapore noodles, a Cantonese creation that has nothing to do with Singapore! 🤣

Singapore noodles are made with curry, plus beef, pork, shrimp, vegetables, etc. The noodles are almost always chow mei fun (vermicelli-like). Once in a while I can get Singapore chow fun, with broad noodles, which is the first way I had them 40 years ago in Chinatown in NYC, and the way I still prefer. For some reason many places will only make it with chow mei fun noodles.

Don't complain about the singer/comedian as that is an icon of holidays in parts of Tenerife and Benidorm, to name a couple of places. If you don't like it, go somewhere else, which is what I do. I wouldn't dream of going there mainly because of that kind of singer. Although I do accept that many people do love places like that. Variety is the spice of life.

I've made my way to 10 minutes into your video so I do not yet know the outcome of your meals etc. I sat in this restaurant 2 weeks ago and had some very tasty food. However, I suffered with some difficulty for the next two days which I think was their beer. Anyway, always a favourite of mine - lovely views, never busy during the day. A generally nice place to be. There is something of a local issue, namely that the pub thing next door now has some rather crass 'entertainment'. Don't know whether you experienced that but it did, for me, detract from the experience somewhat.

The Tenerife Tourism Mob (or whatever they're called) ought to pay the two of you a promotional fee. You really shouldn't have to pay for anything while you're there... I'm sure these vlogs benefit the local economy considerably. This place looks great! SOME Americans call the prawn crackers "styrofoam" because they're not commonly served here (should be, though) unlike in the U.K. I can buy them in Asian grocery stores in NY. Also, we call that orange/red sauce "duck sauce". Don't know why; always has been so. Daniel is right about Coke Zero. To me it tastes identical to regular Coke, and much better than Diet Coke, which I drink only under protest. And Pepsi Max or Pepsi anything: Blech!
