Gary asked over and over why the music is so loud, especially with so few people in the restaurant. There's the answer to his question. I think many restaurants turn the volume of the muzak up when there are very few diners to give the false impression that the place is bustling with activity. I also notice that it often takes longer to be served and to pay up when the restaurant is nearly empty. No restaurant wants to appear deserted.

@Ben-fk9eyАй бұрын
I realised why the music was so loud in a restaurant I was in, the reason being that the toilets and bar/entrance were in a very narrow hallway opposite each other. So I imagine that at some point in time someone must have been making some noise in the toilet right as people were entering or paying and they're covering that up by blasting music.

You are not just paying for the ingredients, or the food preparation, you are paying for the real estate, the land, architecture, furnishing and decor, the rent, and advertising, cash register and internet banking, book keeping and accountant fees, Council rates, income tax, company tax, legal fees, electricity, gas, telephone and insurance plus some sundries like laundry, cleaning, paper towels and the like. The quality of the ingredients is the owners/manager's responsibility, the food preparation is up the chefs responsibility. At £19, one can expect soft poached eggs and not hard boiled. The restaurant is not busy so there is no excuse for hard poached eggs. The price is generated by all of the investors, renters, leasers, business interests, regulators, and profiteers, that take a cut of every ordinary man or woman's attempt to make an honest quid.

One small hiccup is that we didn’t like one of our cocktails - not the restaurant’s fault it just didn’t suit our tastes. Our server gave us a brand new drink at no additional charge. Nice. ….Not long after we arrived back to our hotel room I discovered the restaurant completely credited my entire meal in full. That was completely unexpected and not necessary as they gave us a replacement drink for free. Needless to say I wrote a glowing review afterwards. 😊 but £19 for a breakfast? Maybe if it included champagne and a jazz brunch vibe would it be worth that kind of money. Anyway, enjoy your videos. Have a nice day.

Imagine serving that on Hell’s Kitchen ?? You be out the door 😂

An Aussie journalist brought Ramsey on to talk about a steak he had at one of his restaurants and Ramsey lost his shit and left. Ramsey is another hypocrite in his industry. It's why he always fails whenever making non Western food and always gets laughed at.

He’s clearly not your mate Gary!! 😂 No friend would serve you that. Let’s face it Gordon now cashing in.

@GaryEats imagine if Ramsay was doing one of his TV shows...and he arrived and was served that overpriced poor quality food. He'd have gone mad!!! I'm afraid I've no time for these celebrity chefs. They're cashing in on their reputation at your expense, self indulgent self serving greedy individuals. Oh, BTW, Tom Kerridge has put his name to an M&Sbeef pie for one....selling for 7 quid!!

@@majorminor3367 Ahh, a fellow Bald Foodie Guy appreciator i see :D - You've got a great point, if Gordon visited this place on Kitchen Nightmares he'd kick off, that Bacon looked awful to me, and I personally think, no matter how nice the scrambled eggs may have been, that a bit of yellow food colouring was added to make it look more vibrant... The whole thing looked like a cheap Amercian Breakfast with added Beans.

100% agree about the music. It's like being in a nightclub first thing in the morning. Breakfast was very average - no better than what you might get for £10 from a greasy cafe.

Hi Gary, I think it's time to avoid these TV chefs and focus on family or solo run restaurants. Your best meals have been outside of TV chefs. 👍

Of course Roger, I try to bring awareness to certain restaurants to save people money

@@GaryEats Go to the places where the families that own the place, deserve the money. We know the name above the door doesn't really work by now. Enjoy the food you review, for the Cameraman's sake.

Very generous of the management to not charge you for the tea bag in the end 😂 Scrambled egg did look very nice but the hard poached eggs are outrageous
