The president and CEO of a fundamentalist prophecy ministry commented on a news report where lightning caused damage to an LGBT affirming church. According to the minister, this was God's way of expressing disapproval of said church's affirmations. A different minister from the same fundamentalist prophecy ministry told how wind gusts caused tree damage to the roof and siding of his house. In this case, the damage was a blessing from God because he got a new roof and siding through his homeowners insurance. Also, it was a blessing because he's a faithful, tithing, church going man of God. At face value, we have two structures that were damaged by bad weather, then later repaired through insurance coverage. *There is no way to prove a hypothetical God had anything to do with the damage, let alone why said God approved of the people's religion in one building while disapproving the people's religion in the other.* That's just how they think and reason.

A bullet had to go through my right vertebrae & muscles & nerves & shoulder blade but they released me the same night & put a patch on my back (No insurance). Witnesses saw the multiple bullet holes on the back of my coats? But the Doctor said it was only 1? Months prior to that & in front of a Church full of people told them that God would shield bullets from me. Witnesses that are still alive. Then about 20 years later, He did it again & that time no bullets went into me. And witnesses to the aftermath of the last bullet. The aftermath that God caused to show me that they were trying to kill me & I know that because of the Crime Scene Photos. So reach out to me & I guarantee I would shut you up. with my proofs.

It was just blatant button pushing, and these idiots simply lapped it all up and opened up their wallets. It's truly sickening how they're being manipulated. Which made me doubt the divinity of it. There is in fact a Christian doctor/medical researcher here in the Netherlands, who believes in these medical miracles and decided to 'collect' them and examine them thoroughly and honestly. After 10 or 12 years, as far as I could verify, he has managed to come up with about 15 'remarkable' cases, of which 5 or 6 are 'medically inexplicable'. Rarity.

Having had quite a few x-rays and MRI scans the past year, I forgot that one's name is display at the top of every image. Kudos Hemant! You also, in a bit of an indirect way, showed how peer reviewed science works. When I was in grad school, one of the profs in my department brought up a case where he caught another scientist plagiarizing material in his field (he worked on conodonts and biostratigraphy). When we asked how he knew, he said, "Because he used my photos." Dr. Sweet then pulled out the article that had "borrowed" his material and his original photographs, showed everyone the photos side by side, and they were obviously the same. The scientist in question had used other researchers material as well, was turned in, and subsequently "black balled". This is only part of the reason we use peer review, but one example of how science checks itself.

@@OnlyFactsPlease yes your right. Except YOU are wrong! Carmelite Nuns and Buddhist monks were used as controls in the experiment. When the nuns prayed, or the monks chanted, their frontal lobe activity INCREASED (as you'd expect). After all, you are 'creating' a language aren't you. Something very different went in with the tongue talkers as their Frontal lobe activity decreases, the exact opposite of what we'd expect to happen. The evidence actually validates the claims of those the study was conducted from. Sceptics cant debunk it because the exact opposite of what they expect to happen, is happening. The true answer is Pesky Christian may be right, but until you conduct further experiment (and how would experiment? as well). Are you a rational, scientific person? Then you have to accept the evidence. Skeptics have lower dopamine levels. 'Truthers' have much higher levels. So if your a skeptic, great. If youre still being a sceptic once the evidence starts to point in the other direction, then youre not being a sceptic anymore. In my extensive experience inside these groups 99% of the people are sincerely trying to be right and tell the truth, the problem is their minds are so far in the clouds and they twist words and experiences so much that events or miracles are just believed without question. They are very easily persuaded by stories from other believers because how could their own people lie or twist the truth? It's almost insulting to question another believer.

So when He sat me up to have those words blurt out of my mouth on the night that "fool" won & after I woke to find that he had, the anger that came over me was 1 step from me starting a race war on my own. I was extremely pissed off at White America (somewhat still is) until I remember those words & then I knew it had to been God to warn me not to do anything like that because, "if he wins, he is going to jail". Of course I thought he would be going as president, but God never gave me specific date to when he does, He just said: "if he wins" & he won. But now I can see that he will be going to jail & the only way he won't is if the Feds are just as corrupted as he is. I believe God when He tells me stuff, so yes I am right. But I am not seeking your approval because whether he goes or not, my "mission" is more important than him. Until you skeptics & this includes "christians" would pay attention & help me by being "my" first customers to each of "my" works in God's First Customers Club (The2DCents Club TM by TheDdreamsInc TM). So that I can then set up & recruit God's $hare-Croppers TM (The B.O.S.S.I.C.O.L Club TM by TheDdreamsInc TM) & show our current "job creators" that God is replacing them for their wickedness to refuse to pay us right & this club came about because of what God saw "them" do to blacks during slavery, sharecropping, & when I was born & began to work at jobs to see how they stole works & claim it as their own. After making the first works & shipping it to those first customers with pin-button for each sale (and kick off a project from God to wipe out childhood poverty by letting teens make those pins for $1 each & to 1,000 pins as a team of 21 would let them make $1,000 in revenue each for their new P/T businesses. After the pin & works are shipped, then I would use the other profits to do marketing adds to sell more of those same works in regular sales & generate more profits & Affilibacks TM for those first customers to hopefully turn them into rich people so they can be a blessing to others too. Then 60-80% of all profits from the 12 future llcs under TheDdreamsInc TM would go into a refund budget that would be used to do all of God's projects on Earth for 2 more years. As far as he going to jail? I have been to jail before & I don't wish it on him but I do know he has to go to jail or else, they can't put their handcuffs on me ever again for nothing. Unlike him & others, I know God want let anyone kill me so, if their guns & bombs & poisons & virus is something that I do not have to fear? Why should allow them to lock me up if they won't lock up a criminal like him? And them? So, do not celebrate too long. We as a human race has a mission to be done by God on Earth. Let Him take care of us & show "them" that God has seen their ways & these projects from Him is either going to bless or curse them, depending on how they react to them.

At the age of 15 (16 years ago) I broke both bones in my left forearm. Following isolation in a cast, wherein one of the surgical incisions burst open, I was diagnosed with CRPS - RSD. So, beginning at that young age, every day has been a waking nightmare of some of the worst pain I can imagine. Rather than just going in and closing the incision back up, the doctor chose to see if the wound would simply heal from the inside out. It didn't, and for several months, I was subjected to agonizing wound cleanings, where scalpels had to be used to scrape old bandaging off of the exposed metal plate in my arm. This often after a round of extensive and equally painful physical therapy. I couldn't attend school because of the medicine they had me on -- a powerful cocktail of narcotics and gabapentin. So when I wasn't effectively pickled by the fucking meds, I was howling in pain. As you can imagine, it was a wonderful time to be alive. But you know what made it even better? One day, I had managed to feel good enough to go out to the store. While there, this nosey proselytizer, no older than 25, comes up, eyeing my atrophied and bandaged arm, and asks to pray over it. I'm uncomfortable but my mom -- desperate for any results at that point -- convinces me to let him. Medically and emotionally numb, at that point, I just go right along with it. So he does. For a fucking hour, this guy sits there praying over my hand, and the longer it goes on, the more bitter I feel myself becoming. Needless to say, this little charade didn't produce anything worthwhile, but it did set me on the right path as far as thinking about the faith I'd been raised to believe. Because, up until that point, I thought I was being punished for something. That, somehow, without harming a single soul, I had committed such a grievous sin that I deserved all this pain and torment. It wouldn't be until about a year later when I finally abandoned the faith, but that clued me in enough such that I had no other choice but to doubt. I'm 31 years old now, and while I still live with this condition, I'm no longer tormented by delusions of a god's punishment. I, luckily, only had to live with that for a short time, but I know there are those out there that still wrack themselves with guilt over similar fears and insecurities. The fact that these evangelicals will use conditions that cripple and maim and person's quality of life just to boost their credibility is absolutely disgusting to me on a profound (and maybe irrational) level, and it's precisely because I know, exactly and intimately, what sort of hell that is.

Whenever we would get to a small rural community, we would set up the tents and chairs and go into neighboring towns and pass out flyers for the revival. We all would then be in the crowd posing as people who were crippled, blind or deaf and he would "heal" us. Yeah, the devil is master deciever & he has decieved you. Everywhere God is presence. God is real & if you still can't see it? That would be your fault to where you end up after Judgement Day.

As an outspoken atheist, the only miracles I’ve ever witnessed are the ones where people actually realize their beliefs in supernatural events and gods are total bullshit based on the fact that there is no shred of verifiable data or empirical, science based evidence of their existence!!! Now that’s a true miracle!!

@triplejudy: It's truly stunning the magnitude of fallacious drivel religious people are willing to accept without proof. It's almost impossible to get them to ask even one simple question. As Atheists we ask only that you provide evidence of a "God". They never can. They are afraid to ask a single question, because if they did their whole belief system might come crashing down. Kinda like Jenga

@@istvansipos9940 I put "miracle" in quotes to indicate the poetic nature of the term that is used far too loosely. 3:36 i highly doubt those are even the same hands I'm a paramedic LET ME EXPLAIN SOMETHING IN DETAIL TO EVERYONE so that you know what your'e looking at Then i'll tell you specifically what to look at and you'll see what i see Point 1 - The Fingers (in medical terms) are called Phalanges and one finger is A PHALANX. Point 2 - The Phalanges are divided into 3 segments (with the thumb being the exception and having only 2 segments) Point 3. - These segments are referred to as DISTAL , MEDIAL, PROXIMAL so.... for The tip of your finger , we say " Distal Phalanx" Middle section of your finger we say "Medial Phalanx" (These days some say Middle Phalanx) and the part that is closes to your wrist we say "Proximal Phalanx" Point 4. Medicine assigns the fingers Numbers so.... thumb = 1 Pointer = 2 Middle = 3 Ring = 4 Pinky = 5 so if you fracture the middle section of your ring finger we might say "there is a fracture at the medial segment of the 4th Phalanx" OK.. SO WE GOT THAT Point 5 - Let's move to the wrist the wrist doesn't have "Like thousands of tiny bones" as many believe. there are only 8 we can look at them in terms of TOP ROW (being the row closes to the Proximal segment of the fingers and the bottom row being the row that connects to the beginning of your arm Point 6 - those bones are labelled as follows TOP ROW (From left to right) Left is the side of the thumb, right is the side of the Pinky TOP ROW - Trapezium, Trapezoid . Capitate, Hamate BOTTOM ROW - Scaphoid , Lunate , Triquetrum, Pisiform SO..... TO SUMMARIZE do we have that we have 5 fingers / Phalanges each finger has 3 segments 9 distal , medial, Proximal) the thumb on has Distal and Proximal we have 8 bones in our wrist (roughly described as being in 2 rows) NOW LET'S LOOK AT THAT STUPID FUCKING X-RAY SHALL WE Firstly...No metal template, No L or R to indicate orientation. THERE SHOULD BE A REPORT THAT COMES WITH AN X-RAY , why did that not show the report ? but let's now look at those hands again shall we I MEAN ... OUR BONES DON'T CHANGE OVER THE COURSE OF 5 MINUTES DO THEY ? Let me point some things out... ok 1- SEE X RAY (A) Notice the pinky (The distal segment of the 5th Phalanx) Notice how it is right up against the 4th Phalanx OK.. THIS HAPPENS also notice THE HAMATE on A and B The hamate is the one that is under the 4th and 5th finger 2. Now ... SEE X RAY (B) considering point 1 Why is the distal segment of the 5th phalanx now NOTICEABLY AWAY FROM THE 4TH PHALANX ??? Why is the Hamate in A LARGER than the Hamate in B ????? Now look at the same xray B Look at the 2nd Phalanx......!!! it's up against the 3rd BUT.. IN (A) it tends to lean away from it ??? CONCLUSION ...... A and B are not the same hand 3. Look at D See.... 3rd Phalanx Distal segment See how it leans over the right NONE OF THE OTHER HANDS DO THAT CONCLUSION : D is completely different to them all 4. Look at C Look at the proximal segments of all the phalanges except the thumb THEY ALL LEAN TO THE RIGHT THE OTHERS DON'T DO THAT if anything... D leans to the left 5. AND YET.. on all the X-Rays the thumb is on the left side and we have the same sectional view THESE ARE NOT THE SAME HANDS The Fingers are different the bone marrow density in them is different The Carpals (the bones in the wrist) are not the same shape i mean if we just look at the thumbs I SEE 4 DIFFERENT THUMBS if you look closely and attentively D (distal phalanx) is very pointy and points up B is a lot more stubby and points up A is still stubby but not as stubby as B and not as pointy as A and then C just hangs off to the left THIS IS 4 DIFFERENT THUMBS LOL now... you can understand how someone how doesn't know how to look at it properly would overlook this but yeah.. this doesn't even look close to the same thing next time you get an X Ray of your hand Try to see if the bones are a different shape THEY WON'T BE.... UNLESS YOU CHANGE THE ORIENTATION OF YOUR HAND DRAMATICALLY but ususally what happens is.... The Technician will say to you OK..... KEEP YOUR HAND RIGHT THERE... DON'T MOVE..... I'M GOING TO ASK YOU TO HOLD YOUR BREATH FOR 3 - 5 SECONDS OK.... 3 .... 2.... 1...... BANG (you hear that bang) and ... WE'RE DONE.. YOU CAN BREATH NORMALLY NOW.. KEEP YOUR HAND THERE WHILE I SET UP THE NEXT ONE etc etc.... if your'e having 4 X - Rays done on the same angle THE BONES WOULD NOT LOOK DIFFERENT other things that stick out to me are These phalanges look small (maybe a young adult or something , Teenager perhaps). another thing is the lack of detail on the X-Ray.... Doctors name , view Detail, Date.. etc. and the main one being.. he said that they said they saw the nerves were repaired LOL NERVES DON'T SHOW UP ON X-RAY, it doesn't work like that in an X-Ray we are looking at the SKELETAL SYSTEM of the body not the Central Nervous system you can pick out things like swelling and what not but REALLY... IF A DOCTOR WAS TRYING TO GET INSIGHT AND DO A TEST ON A NERVE HE'D BE A RETARD TO ORDER AN X-RAY . A Doctor would likely order an NCV or EMG for Nerves depending on what he was interested in testing

When a Christian claims to have witnessed a miracle, they are always lying. When a person tells me they're a Christian, I assume they're a compulsive liar because it's key part of their philosophy and behavior. They lie extra if they believe it will promote their religion or their "god." Grown adults should know better.
