It’s absolutely essential IMHO, with it on it’s dangerous to drive. Mine can be permanently off, not sure with the Citroen if you’ll have to switch it off each time. I’ll be changing cars next year so will definitely look at the Citroen. Main reservation is it will only do 150-180 miles in the real world, but considering it’s £10k cheaper than the e208, if it’s a lot cheaper to lease than I’d be fine with that.

Not bad at all. Good value for money. Get the EV version. Good daily runner. Interior/Exterior design 8/10. Power Unit 8/10. Performance 8/10. Overall Score 97/100. Dont shortlist this or consider. Buy it for long term use. Because as we know the world and technology is changing. Be apart of change go EV or PheV. This is coming from AudiMan a former hardcore petrol head convert to EV and PheV person. It's all about sustainability.

The worst part with electrification is there will be no serious uniqueness to the heart of any car, it's engine as it used to come in different kinds of sounds and refinements, now they will all be motors, silent with fake noises, less or more powerful whether it's a ferrari a Citroen or a Rolls Royce. Edit: I'm not against electric cars, you can also see it positively as power and performance will be decentralised, just my personal opinion.

Considering the cost of ownership easily adds 15.000 in an ICE car over an equivalent EV - You'd have to be quite silly to get the ICE. In the EV you get a quicker, safer and more fun car, it'll be worth more in 5-10 years and you save thousands in that time... Don't like the design but it's a cheap A-B moving box I suppose, that's enough for many.
@aquilinorodrigo4 күн бұрын
Definitely not more fun.

@@aquilinorodrigo Electric cars are much more fun than anything that's not 200k+ and has a screaming NA engine. The torque and responsiveness is unmatched.
@aquilinorodrigo4 күн бұрын
@OhMyLaurens How? It's heavier, less agile, no noise, no feel, no gears and just no passion.
@OhMyLaurens3 күн бұрын
@@aquilinorodrigo Sounds like you need to drive and live with one! 😉 Whenever I go back to ICE, the noise is just annoying-whatever you say, it’s nothing like a T33 or Carrera GT. I much prefer the sound of the electric motor spinning up to 10,000 rpm over some 3-cylinder firing away in front of you. It feels better to drive because it’s slightly heavier, but the weight is down low, and the torque is instant, so it feels much nippier. And why would you want a gearbox? A gearbox is there to compensate for the limited power band/torque curve of the ICE. You think you’ll miss it until you drive an EV for a month or two, and then you realize it was just an unnecessary hassle. Not having to use the brake was another big change that you don’t know you’ll like until you have it. :) The only negative is that you have to adjust your driving since the instant torque can be a bit jarring for passengers if you're not used to it. But you get used to it.
@aquilinorodrigo3 күн бұрын
@OhMyLaurens Absolutely not. I already dislike hybrids (PHEV's are alright). Can you imagine my hatred for electric cars? If you're a car person, you won't like EV's. The torque might be instant blah blah, but that's also boring. You want to play around with it, bouncing from the redline at 7k, that sort of stuff. I genuinely can't think as to why people prefer the noise of an EV as to a hot hatch. A Fiesta ST or Peugeot 208 GTi are way better cars (okay, maybe not as reliable) than a B-segment EV. More power, way lighter (feels faster than it is), more passion, and less predictable (which makes it fun). There's also a reason as to why second-hand EV prices are through the floor. I'm happy if you're happy, but you can't deny the fact that "normal" are more fun.
