It’s really not that unbelievable. This guy spends a lot of time going to arcades and humans make mistakes. The guy who unlocked the machine most likely just didn’t push the lock all the way in and it popped back out.

Yea, that’s a big problem for vending machines and pretty much any machine that takes money like that. Bros will be to focused on getting the money in cash bag and getting it zipped up and checking other stuff so they’ll forget to lock it on occasion. (Most people will do something, like myself, and lock it to help someone keep their job.)

When I was a kid back in the 90's I found a key that was attached to a arcade cabinet at Nickel Nickel. So I took the key, being a dumb rebel punk kid and played free games, because I would open the arcade cabinet and use the money to play that arcade.

me and my friends once went to this run down arcade where we found an unlocked claw machine, which we referred to as “the bank”. there was this other machine (if you could even call it that) that was one of the things where you need to throw a coin to hit something but the front part was missing, so you had to physically throw the coin. it was nearly impossible, but with the help of the bank, we actually won like probably 10 tickets or something i dont remember.

Yeah been there too. I couldn't take anythi ng either. It reminded me of an old friend of mine from Highschool that his Dad was the manager of the Aracade called The Silver Coin in the mall we all went to. For my friends birthday he had a Lock-in at the Arcade with about 7 of his friends. We played all night. His dad kept putting credits into all the machines. The next day I was exhausted and my hands hurt for 2 days. Totally worth it. Great Times.

Reminder that they are still a massive powered on electronic. Don't stick your hand in it unless you want a real shock. (Source: I own a few myself & work with them. Many at arcades are not properly serviced and may be damaged, which could lead to serious injury if you put your hand where it shouldn't be.)

Ive worked for distributors/arcades that ive had co-workers who left machines unlocked. The ones i owned, i fixed them to where you couldnt take the key out of the lock unless it was locked. A little inconvient, but i never had one of those left unlocked after i did that.
