Was watching those 2 videos back to back and I found hilarious how Etho's and Hypno's approach contrasted each other

I see Etho and I see him get crazy amounts of loot and he's like "wow that's crazy" and then Hypno gets 6 embers on level 1 and just doesn't talk about them

With his reckless charges he can add another 10 or 20 He has been taking risks since the beginning so his win rate is low but it’s landed him some very good cards and given him the most map knowledge out of everyone playing.

I dont know, i think he went too deep too soon, before he had enough clankblock in his deck. Thats why a lot of his level 3 runs failed, Hypno was already often at maxclank when he left the mines. Etho is more methodical, waited until his deck was up for the task and can now run level 3 without too many problems, resulting in one of the best decks right now (docs might be around even)@@dying2survive298

etho does explore too, is just that for him the objetive is more important, "first i get the artifact, then if i see i have time i will try to map the level (while looking for treasure)"

Not completely illustrative. Etho does a lot of the exploring in the editor, and he's very calculated about his risks - but he does take them. Hypno likes to recklessly push boundaries until stuff breaks. Etho is extremely strategic - he places the ravagers where he needs them to be on his return trip, he plans his clank level, and he picks up loot to target specific choices after coming out of the dungeon. To me, Hypno seems more focused on releasing good content, and having faith that he'll eventually be rewarded for his risk-taking. And most hermits play mostly reactively both in the dungeon, and with embers and crowns - Etho is the only one I've seen who has a prudent strategy in that regard.

I think this two clips grossly missleads new viewers of the play style both Etho and Hypno utilities in their runs they both have similarities and differences when it comes to exploring and going the same route it's the minor quirks in each run that gives them different outcomes

Overly simplifies? Maybe. But, grossly missleads? No. Their approach to the game obviously has to have similarities, it's a non-linear game but obviously some strategies are more effective than others. You can't reach a new area without having to get to the are, thus exploring it. Similarly to get a key to progress to the next level you have to take things slow and wait for treasure to drop. Those characteristics are part of both of their playstyle, but in a way it's part of every player's playstyle Where, I believe, (and that's obviously partly objective so people's opinion's may vary) their key difference lies is in their priorities. Hypno was the first person to reach level 2 and he did it on his first run, he sacrifised any chance of him winning because he was curious as to what lies deeper in the dungeon. In the same spirit, in one of his runs, knowing his chances of winning were less than ideal, but still not zero, he decides to spend his time trying to do a parkour that he believed would lead to an easter egg. Etho, on the other hand, is more tactical with his approach. He spent most of his early phases trying to farm crowns and build a better deck before tackling the deeper levels. For most of his runs up until now he chose the medium difficulty, which better suited his style, while Hypno was already doing hard runs. At least, that's how I see it and ,again, there isn't a truly objective way to review their playstyle so opinions will vary. However, I believe this clip captures, at least, the essence of their playstyle

I think the real difference is thinking vs doing, Etho has an overarching plan and he said it himself that he spends too much time standing and thinking out stuff. I think Hypno is very good at reacting to the situation, the reaction to ravager charging noises is something I learnt and only see in Hypno's vods.
