Dear Squirrel Friend, Sunstars are produced by diaphragma blades. It is very simple: If its an uneven Number of blades you have to multiply it by 2. For example 9 blades is equal to sunstars with 18 rays. 11 blades to 22 rays etc. An even Number, for example 8 blades, makes sunstars with 8 rays. That said, you get ALWAYS the best Sunstars with 10 blade Optics. Have a look at some voigtlanders.. 😉 I use Nisi square filters for boring landscapes 😂 They are top Quality.. no color shifts and no reduction in sharpness. Its good to see them making Lenses.. they have good glas. I Sold the Laowa 15_F2 because of the green an pink color shifts in the corners. But man.. I loved the Aperture F2 and the close focus distance of the Laowa 🙄

I don’t get it. I need a tutorial. Or a mullet. Would prefer the tutorial though. The A7S III IBIS provides 5.5 mullets of stabilisation. Sony’s ‘Active IS mode’ crops and ‘smooths’ but doesn’t improve the mullets? I don’t get it.

Nisi make quality filters and some innovative products like their filter system for the Ricoh GR. The look of this lens remind me of the Pentax 15mm F4 Limited lens, though that's a smaller lighter lens around 200g, about the same price.

Time to time you seem to enjoy vlogging with the A7s III and the Sony 20mm t/1.8, but you do stop it down a bit to minimize the backround general toniature. Have you tried the Tamron 20mm t/2.8? Would it have enough toneh in full frame for your vlogs?

Does Sony not have the setting to manually set the stabilization based on the lens” focal length? Olympus has the ability to set it for a manual lens. Great feature when you use the old OM lenses. They cost pennies.

overexposing for log has nothing to do with the light metering of the camera. It has to do with where the image lands in the waveform. Get a monitor that has or use the in camera waveform to judge your exposure or overexposure.

German "loser" photographer Michael Breitung really likes the NiSi 15mm on the R5. It's really a photography lens, though. No stab, no AF. But you're right about sun stars. It's on my to-get list. NiSi is a filter company. Lenses are a new venture for them; I think the 15mm is their only one so far.
