it's a good idea but when does anyone have a desktop outside? And as soon as night falls you can't use it anymore. I see few situations where it's great, someone might find it useful.

People with bad eye strain issues or sensitive to bad artificial light benefit from this monitor since they can use it indoors next to a window using natural light to illuminate it. People also use incandescent or other bulbs to light them up since you wouldn't be staring directly into the light source.
