Ive heard some people saying that this is just a jumping cube game and that it couldnt be better than real games, but after watching this, I realized that Geometry Dash does not only is the best game for letting people do anything in it, but it also changed peoples lives. Calling this a "jumping cube game" is a total disrespect for everyone who dedicated everything on this to be the best player and be recognized forever. Hello. First of all, great video. All around, an amazing summary, and the editing is impecable. Old friend of Cyclic here, and I can tell you that he didn't cheat (excluding SW and the Hell Zone). At the time of Andro's confession, people were so shocked that they started to raised their eyebrows to both Riot and Cyclic, and, of course, it was easier to be suspicious of Cyclic, given how he had a clearly weird story with SW. Backlash is something everyone faces, of course, but he faced a lot of it. He didn't really know how to calm it, yes he knew he made a mistake, but this is a game after all. All the hate he recieved was unjustified. With all of that comming for him, he decided to confess, given how the community ended up accepting Andro, with the hope of being free. Of course, that didn't happen. Hatred towards him multyplied, and, in the heat of the moment, he decided to throw everything away. He lied and said that he cheated everything because he wanted a way to get away. He wanted to disapear, to be free from the hate. I'm at least happy that the community doesn't hate him now. He was great. He was number one. Cyclic, if you are reading this, I miss you. Hope you are having a good time.

I'm glad to see this topic being covered again in more depth. The last time I watched a video going into the history of this rivalry was when I myself was new to the game back in 2020. I like that you went more in depth too. I think Bloodbath, Cataclysm, Sonic Wave, Riot v Cylic and all of these topics are an important part of early Extreme Demon history that can really sell home just how CRAZY the game is now. It's hard to look at something like Bloodbath now and see why it was such a big deal... but with the context of the surrounding events you really understand why GD's playing community has turned out the way it has now - and why the game managed to stay popular for 7 years without an update just because of the hype surrounding any new Top #1 entering the demon list. Good video MatMart! It's clear this took you (probably) years to make!

I won't lie, the beginning of this video made it such that I thought this was going to be something pointless to watch. If it is just determining who is the "best player" then I see that as something that is ultimately going to be opinion-based. However, I didn't click off this video and went and watched it to the end. I can now say that I'm happy to have watched this video in its entirety, it gave me a good refresher on everything I am so familiar with in GD's history and the editing behind all of this is ridiculously enticing and clean. I was never there when it all unfolded, I started getting really interested in GD maybe around 2016 time, but everything about the history of the game that existed at the time and how the community was in this phase of pushing itself to the limits is really what made the game so damn enjoyable. It was more than just some jumpy square thing. Now the thing I want to see most is the actual limit of this game, we've gone so far as a community that I just want to see how it all plays out until the very end. This one rivalry really did change the game, it was like the first thing the game had that seriously called for improvement of top player that was active at the time. When all is said and done, it is indeed us who are the winners, and we can all look back once we reach the summit to see the crazy accomplishments it took to get to where the end is. Thanks for this video. I think I will go beat some hard levels or something, as I tried to in my time playing this game.
