Hot take: Maybe they should have changed the order between ME1 and 2? Having the main story of ME2 (abduction of the settlers, stopping the collectors) in the first game and to then find out that they work for the Reapers would have been a more natural escalation of the underlying conflict of the games, in my eyes. Having this story in the second game is a little bit of a step back. Changing the order of the games would also allow for a better progression of The Illussive Man and Cerberus into the indoctrinated maniacs of the third game. What we got instead was an evil terrorist organisation that conducts cruel experiments in the first game, a ruthless, but reasonable mastermind and really nice crewmates in the second game (with every evil experiment and stuff explained away with "rougue scientists" and so on), and THEN full-on evil guys in the third game again. But granted, Souvereign is a more epic villain for the first game. ;-) About your idea of the Scurge as the "main enemy" of the next game: You can't have witty banter over the intercom with a force of nature and you also can't shoot it, so I don't know if it will make for a good enemy. ;-)

Fair enough. As I said in the video, The Scourge would be the over arching villain but I do have ideas of how it could work further.

No! How would the scourge come to the Milky Way? Afaik it targets only the rem-tech, Ryder even uses that in the battle for Meridian to round up the Kett fleet. While it could be something like a side-villain, like an annoying problem that needs to be solved asap, I really don't see it as the "big bad villain".

I think having the Kett come in as a bad guy alongside the scourge makes sense as there wouldn't be anyone to really fight if it was just the courage. Unless it's the Jardaan who are retreating from the scourage but in the process bring the scourge with them to the Milky Way forcing us to fight the Jardaan because we believe they brought it to the milky way as a weapon to use.

I absolutely love your theories!!! Imagine, the scourge growing so much in size that it threatens most of the Andromeda galaxy. Forcing the Kett, Angara, the Initiative and other new alien species in the sequel to look elsewhere for salvation. The milky way species at that time have managed to build a new mass relay connecting the two galaxies together, unbeknowest to them that they've provided the andromeda species and the intiative a getaway to the milky way, and the scourge is trickling into the milky way as well. The possible decision-making and plot that can be created from this scenario (the initiative is unknown to the milky way species, meaning they as well will be treated as enemies), I only hope that the devs will pour all their love and time into making a game that has engaging plot, characters, relationships and meaningful decisions, please make a bombastic sequel!!!

If Liara knew about Andromeda and the destroy ending is possibly going to be cannon. Wonder if they would build a mass relay from geth tech? Full scale invasion of the Kett, retreat to the milky way?

I talk about creating a mass relay that allows people to jump from MW to Andromeda, it's called The New Mass Relay. But I think Meridian would be the key here.

@@EndymionTv Personally, the Meridian gave me the creeps. I wished the game gave us the option to express the intense mistrust I felt for this structure and the growing worry about the Vaults and Remtech - you know, the "too good to be true" vibe. Even Jaal, the nice, obliging and charming Angarra, has some rather creepy moments around him. I don't think it's just the game being rushed, maybe Andromeda, SAM and the Remnant are not as nice as they seem. ...oops, this should be a hot take...

If the scourge is a none discriminate force of destruction it would make a good “enemy” to combat against. Although maybe with the untilization of repurposed reaper tech they can subvert or control the scourge to be a type of barrier or containment force to use against hostile foes, kinda like a bubble or net they can construct around a system to completely isolate it or completely wipe it out without using any manpower.

Controlling the Scourge would be somewhat similar to the alien races in Death's End, you could effectively dimension collapse entire civilization's with little to no resistance. It would be the ultimate weapon.

The idea you presented is possible but I do not think that will be in the next mass effect instead be foreshadowed to that in a last installment of the next trilogy like the original trilogy

Krogan I think won't get too outta hand but I think the galaxy will be fractured, Krogan may go after the Turians or Salarians but I think because of the joint efforts of Commander Shepard it would keep the main group leveled. I think their will be a group of extremist but I think maybe terminus with some other allies may be the man antagonist at first then something to tie Andromeda maybe the kett or something off that nature because the Kett is a good villain just need better writing. Leviathan maybe will come out and play but I think they are content the way they are for now and shifting Galaxy as they see fit. But I think Andromeda is going to be lost to the Kett and the remaining pathfinders and people will have to evac but I think maybe the geth will be in involved and sent their consciousness to another galaxy to avoid the destroy ending so the geth will return and maybe help initiative comeback as well.

I thought about it and came to the conclusion that there could be another hostile faction in the Mass Effect. The STG could perform functions similar to the Obsidian Order from Star Trek and the Romulan Tal Shiar. A new enemy besides Cerberus, mercenaries, bandits, etc. STG could use more robots and just follow people. Or Batarians might have omnipotent intelligence.

I sincerely doubt the Batarian's will ever be anything but a throwaway cannon fodder race. I think you could eventually see enemy factions that see the Scourge as a godsend or the remaking of the universe & they will fight to protect it or something.

@@EndymionTv the secret service could take of enemy could take some place with Cerberus, Kett, Blue Suns, Blood Pact, Eclipse, Geth as small and not existencial enemy, similar to Reapers, Scourge or Dark Energy

It would prove an interesting enemy to battle, yes. But I don't think an enemy that can't "cackle madly at us" will be something the developers use in telling the story. It's more likely, that the Scourge is a tool the Kett try using against the Milky Way, rather. That way, we get the threat of the Scourge but also our conscious "mad cackling" enemy, both.

Curious thought. If the destroy ending is cannon and it changes the relay entertainment from blue to red. Why is the Omega relay the only red relay in existence prior to using the crucible. What if the leviathans were actually a leftover species from a previous harvest. Like they were the yahg up to be. What if the next big bad is the bad that left the leviathan and created the scourge. What if the scourge is the original cycle

The Leviathan's were the creators of the Intelligence which created The Reaper's in their image & slaughtered most of the Leviathan's. The Scourge is likely the cancerous amalgamation of dark energy that has begun to devour & kill the universe. So the two wouldn't really connect that way unfortunately

@@EndymionTv not connecting the scourge to the leviathans directly. And perhaps cycle was the wrong way to describe what I meant. The crucible is a massive dark energy device. That coincidentally fires a massive pulse of energy reminiscent of the omega 4 relay. What if the Milky Way was similar to andromeda with the leviathan thinking they were the apex species, but in reality they weren’t. What if they were the result of a “failed” experiment, that in turn created their own failed experiment to stop the conflict between synthetics and organics. What if the pulse fired by the crucible, is similar to the galaxy wide terraforming network from meridian. But sabotaged or uncontrolled it created the scourge in Heleus. In the Milky Way it wiped out whatever was before the leviathan, who then manipulated the remaining species to fit their needs, until the rise of conflict the creation of the intelligence and the birth of the cycles.

Honestly, I hope the next enemy is just the aggressive, short-sighted pettiness of the Milky Way races and ME4 is about trying to get the Initiative to come back and take charge because there is nothing else strong enough to enforce peace.

I think the Kett are to weak ,the Archon couldt a Chance against the Andromeda Initiative, but i would Love to find more about The Kett ,If they are coming Back. With a Stronger force . But The Timejump between Mass Effect 2-3 and Andromeda is so Huge, how it will survive Commander Shepard xD ,Like 600yrs under Ice Like Captain America 😂,The Geth could built a Relay, and The Andromeda Initiative could construct a one way Relay from available Tech in Andromeda. That The Kett could follow Like The Explosion of It ,could destroy an entire Kett Armada or Part of heleus Cluster .

They won't do it, but Mass Effect 4's villain should be Shepard because he went with the terrible Synthesis choice. Now you and your squad who are somehow immune to it are fighting back against your favorite Player Character on the Citadel.

I have quite a few ideas of how it would work, but essentially it would tear a hole in space time allowing for other threats to pour in. And if the Milky Way & Andromeda galaxy get connected eventually via a mass relay, the Scourge would latch onto that and pour through it.

Even though I liked Andromeda I see it more like a Spin off like "Better call Saul" was for Breaking Bad. That's why I am not very excited about the inclusion of Andromeda into the original trilogy. Andromeda should be left where it is now amd get own games in the future with a chance for their worlds and characters to develop and become iconic on their own

I disagree having something be a threat of the death of the universe I find sort of boring and is bad in a business sense I agree that harvesting genetic material is kinda done that, been there. but if the scourge could wipe out the universe and they put it in the next one what would could they put as a villain. I think they want to milk ME as much as possible so unless they are going to end the ME franchise after the next series. I think they would hold off of the universal threat as they literally wouldn't be able to top it unless they do silly comic book shenanigans like they have to save all of time 0.o or some nonsense like that.

For a take even spicier than my rant about ME2 on your last "hot take" video: I don't like Garrus. He's psychotic, a bad cop turned spree shooter who's openly dismissive of due process and human rights. Shepard literally meets him in the middle of him recklessly and callously risking the life of an important witness just to play cowboy. I honestly think Garrus is in the game so Shepard can have an objectively evil companion.
