@@zellafae so the game is made by the same studio thats working on the new game in the black desert franchise. What I think is mostly going on is that a lot of DokeV devs got taken off the project and moved to their other game which is supposed to be their most immersive and expansive game to date. With this said, I think they kinda ended up not knowing what to make DokeV or even when to release it, but Im sure with the recentl release of PalWorld, that will tell them the monster capturing genre is still huge and that the game needs more resources and a proper and functional release

Doke is probably short for the Korean word dokebi. Dokebi is basically a mischievous, greedy, drunk and sometimes violent humanoid. In English, a goblin.

It’s because in Korean DokeV is 도깨비 which is literally Dokebi, Korean for goblin, because V doesn’t have a sound in Korean so it’s said 비 (bi). The title in English is basically a play on words

Seems like they got down all the Gameplay related stuff, probably changing it drastically, as long as they keep this aesthetic in the general idea, we don't know much of the game anyway, maybe they'll cut some content like the many transportation options they shewed, hopefully they keep it real time combat with the player and monsters alongside.

I have a feeling that this is an economical measure to produce a much simpler game to avoid further delay. As we know, the development of other high-priority games is currently preventing the developer from releasing this game as soon as possible. I'm not sure it will work out as intended, especially for us who are already bewitched and have great expectations of the game based on previous promotional videos. Let's hope for the best.

Pearl abyss has me sceptical. The game DokeV made a huge splash. They decide to change it. Goes compleatly radio scilent. Then promotes crimzon dessert, and adds a delay on DokeV. And now this??? What on earth is going on. I'm gonna be extreanly catious with everything this studio says from now on.

Anyone who was expecting Pearl Abyss to do something good with this game will be disappointed. Just look at how they have handled black desert online, especially on consoles. They can’t even handle what they have now, let alone work on this AND crimson desert. The best thing you can do is stop hyping these games up and let them die. This way PA can focus on what they have now instead of another “delay indefinitely”

I think the biggest Problems with this Type of Games and Companies is the transparency towards the Players. Of course if stuff is going down for some reason it's never nice to state something like that in puplic, but at least People would understand the situation more rather than having to guess because they suddenly started to ghost their Fanbase and supporters

I don't think they'll cancel the game. The number of views on the now missing trailers clearly show that there's plenty of interest in what they're making. They might have removed them simply to avoid overpromising or misrepresenting the final product. It could also just be a mistake too. Maybe someone hit the wrong button at Pearl Abyss HQ and hid the videos. Without some kind of official statement too it's not worth reading so much into this.

ALSO, the recent success of PALWORLD might of had them rethink what elements they may want to focus on. People do like crafting and building things.
