Awesome job on those solo-baric boxes and the system as a whole. Of course, we can't tell the difference from the video, but what I figure is you set that Kicker system up to not only be loud, but to be loud and very clear, whereas other systems are really loud but distorted.

@@drewanderson8279 Back then I was running American Made Beasts. Precision Power PC2350 amps and PPI Flat Piston Subs. They were all the rage because Team Gates or Alma Gates with the 1988 Ford Bronco was breaking SPL world records in 1998 with them, lol. RIP Alma Gates. She has since passed away.

@FarmerFpv my buddy had a set of pp 10s. With the lighting bolt on them right? Flat faced subs. It was 98'. He used to drive by my work cruising all night. I was 16. The good ol days when cruising was still a thing. Before everyone had a dam cell phone. Oh ya I believe he was running a old school punch 1000 too. Single cab s10.

When I was competing in DB drag for the SPL world record it was 172 DB done by PPI. Precision Power amps and subwoofers in 1998 by Team Gates. 32 PC2350 amps were used. Man, you got to love old-school American Made Amps? Now the SPL world record holders are hitting 185+ DBs. That will make you fly into the air. It's nuts! lol

Kicker marine is the best bang/$ on the marine market and their HLCDs are THE BEST out there- hands down. Their coaxs and HLCDs in general avoid the nasty sibilance that you get with overpriced and underperforming JL and WetSounds crap. Not to mention they don’t have the horrible directionality like EVERY Wetsounds HLCD (including their HDs). Amps make their rated power and are very well priced. Very nice install, was fun to watch.

You need a isobaric type sub box. 3 chambers; where the speakers face each other inside a smaller box and that box is ported. This will bring your bass to a low sound and its made for outer open space. I made one for my 87 jeep. I used to have a 85 Camaro that had 2 15's and running only 300 watts to it Bridged. Rockford Fosgate Punch 150. You could hear me 4 blocks away and my dad always new when I was home. I always said I turned it off the street before. he would say, I know when you turned it off I could here you. lol It was so loud you couldn't hear anything but the bass.

Yes sir! I've been running kickers since mid 90's! Every vehicle I've owned and have has kicker them! My typhoon has 8 12s older kicker comps in it and to this day, will shake your brain

we have a malibu wakesetter with 8 wetsound tower speakers, two orion subs and other speakers around the boat powered by 14,000 watts and can only turn it up to 25 before its too loud but over all a great setup and the loudest on the lake

Kicker is what I used since I was 17 yrs old and I'm 44 now and still use kicker.. I ran the 6 kicker L7 and 6 kicker 1000 amps to each sub then ran 2 more kicker 1000 to all my highs mids and tweeters

Awesome sound systems took me a lot a lot of time and money too get my boat too where I wanted doing a 121db on 2 sundown zv6s and 10 total speakers 2 subs the zv6s could take a lot more power and get much louder if I had space for bigger enclosure’s though mainly it’s the bass they will give you them higher dbs. 5 amps . My car I’m going a 150.2 db on burp with my subs clamping 5k with 2 Resilient sounds gold v2s
