Molly Tuttle (guitarist) is a 2 time Grammy award winner in the Bluegrass category. She was the first female to win guitarist of the year from the International Bluegrass Association when she was 18,and repeated the year after. Her 2 albums with Golden Highway are masterpieces, and they are brilliant performers. I saw them a few months ago, and after giving us a 2 hour set, they came back with 9 encores. This was part of their set that was on the psychedelic side, with lots of effects and dreamy music. One of her originals, "Stranger Things", is part of that set and is a favorite. Look for the looking glass version. Sadly no video. Their song "El Dorado" has a great video and it's a killer tune

They have a song you would enjoy called Alice in The Bluegrass. Also, since you enjoy this song so much, there's another cover of it that I enjoy just as much. The group is called Elephant Revival. The name of the lead singer on this cover is Bonnie Payne. She also has amazing Grace like qualities in her voice.

Check out Molly's Wikipedia page for a good rundown of all her awards and nominations, including 2 Grammy's for Bluegrass Album of the Year, plus the IBMA Guitarist of the Year 2 years running, 2 Female Vocalist of the Year, etc., etc., etc. A California girl, she made her bones in bluegrass, but is not afraid to branch out -- case in point! She's a phenom, and worth many reactions!

I think we can agree that it's criminal how a) it took them this long to do a movie musical for wicked and b) that they didn't cast Idina Menzel and Chenowith.

No it's not this is a cover by a bluegrass band it's not meant to sound at all like the original.just give you the same vibe.
