Adelong Falls, NSW, I used to prospect the falls 30 years ago as it always gave up great gold. If you pan downstream of the battery site you will find lots of gold covered in mercury.

Nice work mate, that's a crack'en couple of days panning. KZbin is just another tool for prospectors to use to find locations to prospect, I have found the same where people have gone there after seeing it on a video, that's fine, I just wish they respect the bush and not trash it, it make's us look bad in other peoples eye's if they think you did the damage. Real gold is soft like lead. Fools gold is hard and brittle. Use the tip of a knife and push into the piece in question and see what happens

I've never done any fossicking am starting this year with my son .we'll head up to Sofala and owallan Ford as I've seen on KZbin. And that's the first thing I would have done look for where someone had dug a hole and dug there as well or around it , only because I'd be thinking something might have been missed never thought that someone could be coming back to it the next day . Thanks for tip could have gotten my son and myself a punch in the mouth .

Mate I would say, pan your area. Clean it out. Finish what you started. When you are All Done. THEN publish your You Tube Video. Nobody is allowed to pan for gold on a claim if you are the claim holder and it’s your claim it is a lease but on that note claim jumpers can be dealt with by setting up camera and report to the gold commissioner then they’ll look at the file working with the police after identifying the people inquestion will be barred for life so if you got intentions of claim jumping keep in mind you won’t get a gold panner’s permit as you’ll be banned that’s for life no buts ifs or maybes
