Great video's. I'm a bit confused on sandpaper grits though. In the video's I see you using Klingspor P320, P400 and P600 but you call it 320, 400 and 600. Your website also refers to 320, 400 and 600 with no P. The FEPA P (Europe) and the ANSI/CAMI (U.S.) grits are quite different. A P600 grit is about a 360 grit in U.S. When you say I just finished the 600 and am going to clear coat, do you mean P600? Thanks...

Hi Rick! Yes, its a P for Euro spec, I just never bothered to add it. As far as the grit comparison, I wouldn't say P600 is about a 360 in US grit. While you may get close, different manufactures "Grit" is never the same across the board. Another huge factor that people don't think of is the material the sandpaper is made of. For example silicon carbide is known for its sharpness, and is best used in wet sanding. People tend to have issues with their end product because they may use the same grit that's made from Garnet, aluminum oxide or zirconia alumina, and have completely different results(deeper or finer scratches). Yes, when I say finish with the 600, I'm referring to the P600

@@StartRestoringHeadlights Thanks for the quick reply and clarification on the P grit. I just picked up a stash of Klingspor P silicon carbide sandpaper locally. I'm switching to your sanding method from the other KZbin guys drill/dry sanding 3M method. The 3M sanding disks he uses work but... cost an insane fortune. However, I'm going to stay with his Meguiar's Clear Headlight Coating for now because I still have 9 tins of it and I like it. I am researching graphite coating and bought one to try??? I'm in cold Canada and don't do outdoor restorations Dec, Jan, Feb

Hey Brad its me again. How do you wear your head camera and what kind of camera do you use? Do you wear it on the side of your face or on the top of your head? Thanks again

I use the ORDRO EP8. It wraps around my head, and sits right next to my eye for a good POV.

How many cars can you do with 1 can?

Between 2-3. Just depends on the size of the headlight.

@@StartRestoringHeadlights I use to use chemical guys but I like the concept of the cans better. I just wonder how profitable it is

Hey Brad I just thought of another question. What would you do if after you have sprayed the clear coat wind blew dust on the light or a gnats get stuck in clear coat? Thanks again and great job!
@StartRestoringHeadlights3 ай бұрын
@qualitykings3609 great question! I'd try my best to remove them and touch up the areas with a little clear coat. I've had that happen before lol

Hey Brad. I am in the middle of watching this videos but on most of your videos that I have watched it seems like you only use one portion of your sand paper when it is folded.
@StartRestoringHeadlights3 ай бұрын
@qualitykings3609 I do. When I film, I tend to think more about what to say than focusing on the sandpaper lol I'm supposed use all 4 sides of 1 piece, but my monologuing gets the best of me 😅
@qualitykings36093 ай бұрын
@@StartRestoringHeadlights That is funny because from time to time I go back and watch some previous videos and I just randomly pick one that you did 5 months ago and that is all I'm seeing is you flipping the sandpaper around and using all the sides.😂
