I’m watching this while working my desk job. I told my doctor yesterday even though I walk 30-60 min everyday and strength train 2-3x a week I’m still sedentary because of my desk job.

I have a desk job. I walk every break. I get 8,000 steps before 1:30pm every day. And the sitting is recovery haha.

Strong work. I was happy getting 8k to 10k steps per day from my desk job. : ) Gotta take advantage of the time you have. Stuff the desk with some pull-up door jam attachments and resistance bands.

I'm a FT data nerd. But I stand allllllll day at my desk. This and plenty of walks and exercise snacks makes it possible to be healthy despite my desk job.

Do you find your feet hurt standing? I have a desk job and have a standing desk, but I never use it partly because my feet bother me. I'm thinking of getting a walking pad too -- but I'm not sure I'd actually use it, or be able to type while moving!

@Mary-en2hw i stand barefoot on a thick rug (i work at home primarily). When I do go to the office, I exclusively wear Xero brand shoes. In fact other than flip flops, all my shoes and boots are Xero. Not having the raised sole did wonders for back, hip and knee pain over the past 2 years and allows me to lift weights barefoot with stability too.

Same. Data ops = screens all the time and working from home eliminates even walking to a meeting room. I stand most of the day and take regular 5-10 min walks, it’s pretty easy to reach 10k. I keep a compact elliptical under my desk in case I can’t get outside, maybe $80 on amazon

I have a desk job, work from home, but I train 6 days a week (push/pull/legs) and I walk 2+ hours a day (10-20k steps a day) while in a calorie deficit the past 11 months. Have lost 23kg so far and hoping to have abs within another 5 months :)

I sit/stand at a desk all day. I make sure at the very least to get a half hour walk during my lunch break, and in the mornings 2-3x a week get to the gym at 5am (currently in Phase 3 of Anabolic). While the alarm clock going off sucks, I feel so much better for the rest of the day during work after I check that box of completing the workout. and Friday night is always pizza night at my house!!!

Literally just started taking about a lil less than a teaspoon of creatine before bed, paired up with threonate, and it seems to let me wake up much easier and almost clear headed as if I took lions mane right away

I like Dr. Jason Fung's analogy better: Glucose storage is like a refrigerator, so more muscle makes a bigger fridge. Body fat is like a freezer. When the fridge gets full, energy overflows into the freezer.

Just a suggestion....I latest really love an episode dedicated to the different peptides, optimal use for healing or just maintenance, creatine etc. What to use how much, when..Different uses for weight loss vs gain.I watched the latest episode on fat loss supplements, but I wouldn't use those. Any one else?? Hit the thumbs up to let them know I'm not the only one :)

I have a silent walking pad and standing desk, you can get approved for one for some jobs if you get a doctor’s note. I also these them at home for my working from home days.

I have a desk job, working from home. My workaround for this is splitting up MAPS anabolic throughout the day. Every 45minutes or so, I’ll do sets of 1 specific exercise. And it works the same for the trigger days. Thanks guys!

Desk Jobs yes the sitting is bad but it's different if you work out before or after all that sitting to mix things up. Try a job "on your feet" all day and it can drain the energy out of your workouts. So there's a lot to the whole picture.

I am watching from my desk job. Does it negate the bad effects if we get up and do something every to every other hour? I usually do something every couple hours because I can't sit still for too long. I'll bet creatine helps reduce some of the cortisol from the workout, thus helping sleep. Just my guess.

1:35 "SedAtary" Hey guy, you're about 50 years old and still haven't figured out the word sedentary. If you're going to use the word constantly, at least know how to pronounce it. It's a little hard to trust that a person is actually educated on a subject, when they don't even comprehend a key word pertaining to that topic. Then again, you guys spew false information on the regular, so I suppose it's par for the course.
