Just had a genius idea: Ludwig hosts a game show but it’s not The Button, it’s The SWITCH. So basically switch starts in the middle and it will give first people equal opportunity to switch their date, however after the first switch the sides will take turns as in if you switched someone out, now only the new person is allowed to switch unless you voluntarily switch yourself out. This will prevent same person from staying. GET TO IT LUDWIG THATS A MILLION DOLLAR IDEA.

But after the first round of the switch being neutral it will always be pointing in one direction, so you always know exactly who will be voted out. @ogheros
@ogheros Жыл бұрын
@@gdxnsk It’s not a culture thing it’s more toxic relationship thing but it’s different for everyone. Girls tend to be nicer and more forward with their feelings than guys though so if they say they’re just friends and no feelings then they mean it but if a straight guy is involved then there’s likely still feelings and availability there. I have seen lesbian couples break up though and live together after and it turn super abusive super quickly. Could’ve been the alcohol involved or cause one kept bringing back a new girl everyday from the gay bar but the other pulled a knife on her one day cause she was jealous and had enough. One restraining order later tho and a civil court case over who owned the dog and it was done and over.
@MikhelBL
@MikhelBL Жыл бұрын
@@ogheros you had it: availability. That's the reason why exes live together and the reason why your friend tried to kill her ex (pulling a knive is a death threat). Women tend to be more hypocrites and will hide stuff if they think they will gain something by doing it and you'll see it in every single pair of female friends how they will talk shit about other mutual friends... men don't tend to be like that so there's incompatibility.

Hahahah the "living with her ex (gf)" no, that's super common in wlw relationships because sometimes the breakup is because "Oh I don't actually like you like that, but you are a really good friend." and like majority of the time, the feelings are mutual and they can actually stay friends after a breakup and move past their 'romantic' feelings (I'm putting those in quotes because they realize that those feelings were actually just really good bestie vibes/platonic but they still tried to date. Totally valid I think, it's pretty cool if it turns out that you both agree to be friends and become better buds. Don't think it could work that commonly in a heterosexual relationship though.)
@itsdalion6612
@itsdalion6612 Жыл бұрын
Why doesn't it work in heterosexual relationships tho?
@Emkito
@Emkito Жыл бұрын
@@itsdalion6612 Personally, I think it's because of how differently men and women are raised, and though I wish that they could stay friends.. I don't think it'll be ever possible. It starts off with boys getting teased for being friends with a girl, and through the years that can turn into (and does a ton) "you're a woman, I will only befriend you because I want to date you." (this is why so many women says they wish to be friends with men the way men are friends with each other). So sometimes, in very rare instances they can be friends after a breakup even if they did actually love each other, but usually the case for them being friends is because they never really loved each other. My sister stayed friend's with her first ex but it's because they both realized that they don't have romantic feelings for each other. I also think it's because straight men don't trust other men and straight women don't trust other women (don't really know what's the reason besides cheating) Edit: To add onto my sister's part. I am pretty sure they are like really cool best friends now, and I think that because of the way they were both raised (being friends with the opposite gender = crushing/dating) they thought that they should date, but just turned out that they're friends. I should ask her about this, lol
@michellespanier5248
@michellespanier5248 Жыл бұрын
@Real_Human most men only stay friends with women if they still have feelings and hoping for another chance- its not %100 but thats what men claim, and some women are the same way. I think a reason for it is straight men don't tend to let go of attraction and tend to value something more than friends over being just good friends. I am still friends with an ex and it works fine, we have mutual respect and get along well and no real reason to stop being friends, unless one of us dated someone and that person had an issue. Another reason can be like "i dont want to date someone whos friends with their ex, so out of respect im not gonna be friends with an ex"

My boyfriend is still best friends with his ex who is a woman. He was the man of honor at her wedding last year. I think they have a really sweet relationship and it's never been an issue for me or her now-husband. I actually really like hanging out with her too- she's a really sweet person. It's rare but it can happen!

literally the goal of the button is to put you against the person you're talking to since if you stay your have more people to see, so instead of putting you together it does the opposite and make the two person that are trying to get together in a position where they're ennemies which makes it pretty hard to bond with that person it's literally the worst wingman of all time, also randomly says to the person you're trying to get that secret embarassing thing you did 9 years ago that still keeps you up at night straight to millions of people

about the exes thing most queer people are still friends with exes (my friendgroup has like five people that have dated each other) because most of the time these relationships end because its realized there likely wasn't much or any actual romantic attraction and that you just like being around each other as friends. ive been described this slight feeling of obligation to see where something can go when you find another queer person because of things like where you live like how far out of the closet can you be(?) Theres other factors but i see the population one the most like an example dating the only other person that ia out in your school not really because you think you love them but because they are there and you do get along quite well actually. this might not make sense but ehh

ngl queer dating standards are just so much healthier??? like there are some weird toxic things in every community ofc and the queer community has some but like the way people handle relationships and feelings is so much better (generally) than the straight tropes of "never trust your partner" "cant stay friends after a breakup" "force the relationship to keep going until you both explode because you cant acknowledge when a relationship needs to end on a healthy note". thank u to my past friend groups for giving me the perspectives hollywood and straight media hates to bring up

"Do black people blush" gave me flashbacks to reading a short story in German class where a white dude ate the food of a black dude thinking it was actually that black guy eating his. So they sat there I silence sharing this meal while the guy had a racist internal monolog ranting about this guy until he realized he was at the wrong table and in fact eating the very chill black guy's food. The white dude also said something about "can they even get red?".

It's interesting to me how fast they hit the button once the other person is showing signs that they find them unattractive or feels like they don't really match, even if they've been genuinely interested in the other person before. Men don't have so much self respect, they'd still go after them and try to turn it around.

Sometimes people just work out better as friends then as lovers and I love the culture of being mature enough to recognize ex's as close friends even after the relationship is over. Honestly a green flag for me personally :)) Bi woman here!

Shit take. A relationship where both people had 0 attraction to each other afterwards and knew they should only be friends would be the ultimate exception. If you've dated and broke up you don't have to hate each other or be unfriendly or avoid your old friend group if you happen to share it. But being active friends that still hang out is a red flag.
