I’ve had frostbite work fairly well for me on certain builds, mostly brutality with something like Balanced Blade, bone or panchaku. Take combo melee and frostbite as mutations and roll for bleed and extra damage to slowed targets on what ever weapon. Pair it with sinew slicer or cleaver trap and the 2 dot stacks absolutely wreck bosses and elites.

32:13 Only took a brief look for curiosity's sake, but it *looks* like the actual reason why enemies are breaking out of the freeze has something to do with either networking or the slow after thaw nova. Networking would make the most sense since it isn't a dot and therefore *probably* can cause ice to break. Also so far into the video I can't help but think that using Hokuto normally would actually be a better idea DPS wise since you don't have to deal with Acrobatipack's cooldown. That way you could either get Kill Rhythm for comfort or No Mercy for more kills per minute in it's place

Literally a minute longer into the video. I'm 90% certain it's Networking doing that. Which makes perfect sense. Again, networking is a status, but *not* a dot. It's just that it's so satisfying to use in dot builds that no one seems to have noticed that. With that said. I am now theorycrafting a build that would properly utilize Networking without reliance on dots. Basically. Any fast hitting bow + Nerves of Steel. Quick Bow would be perfect since it already has low base damage and high ammo count. Then all you need to do is line up the Nerves shot and let loose, watching an entire row of enemies explode. Actual strategy gacha game levels of shenanigans

it absolutely IS networking, and if you're asking how networking breaks freeze, for one it's a different element type (being electric) than freeze, for the other, you can think of fire as particle acceleration, cold/freeze as particle deceleration/immobilization respectively and electric as particle excitement, and particles have to be "hot" to get excited, breaking the freeze.

Taking the misericorde in slumbering would have been so sick. Frost blast them to half hp then crit them dead. Fixes the problem that frost blast doesn't hit frozen targets. Wouldn't have run it without fight for your live though.

Hey vee, I ran frostbite a few times and found that running it with panchaku in addition to melee and no mercy is the way to go to make frostbite shine P.S: ice grenade also helps

I use this build a lot, but I put hokuto in the 2nd hand because I hate shields and I get networking

i have unlocked about 70% of the game content so far I use Hunter grendade

Hunter's grenade is nice, when I can actually survive long enough to use it. All my remaining unlocks at this point are in Cavern and Astrolabe. Even if I find the blueprints, I rarely get away with them.

PB doesn't increase Frostbite damage, iirc, while Tranquilo does. Freeze, run away, get damage. Tranq also increases your skill damage if you're far enough away, iirc.

definitely try to bring in a weapon or skill specifically to handle the floating monster. Even if its just a grenade, preferably its a skill that will do good boss damage too.
