Something to note, for those who want a budget alternative to 1st movement solo, small world is a great search card in the deck that can be used in place of 1st movement. It has its pros and cons, it's more costly on the hand than 1st is and still requires you to summon the monster somehow, but it doesn't lock you like 1st movement. Veiler is the main bridge that can get you anything you need off of basically any card, but ogre can also work as a bridge for everything except sonata.

It comes down to player preference for the pot cards. I prefer desires, mostly because of prosp locking out draws for the entire turn, which slows down quite a lot of the followup and a lot of players seem to know how to read hands via prosp now, whereas most seem to have forgotten how to do this with desires, but on the flip side, being able to dig for a specific piece is always really strong.

Well if couplet gets stopped, banishing Concerto is kinda bad, but that rarely happens, but banishing Soprano is just as bad. Desires let's you play TTTalents tho, which is such a good card too, and get the draw of concerto, on the other hand Prosp naturally aligns with your extra deck as you can always decide which card you want to keep without much concern, and it really helps getting to Ostinato which is by far the decks strongest card.

No elegy tamtam mention, jokes aside yeah melodious is great and doesn't have bad match ups, the only ''bad'' match up I have played against is kashtira, beacause Schuberta banishing does nothing but even then, it is still fine, there aren't rank 7s that out a melodious board but, against kashtira you might have to not hand trap them, since most decks are on 2 Eotile, if you hand trap them and unicorn is resolves, that's Etoile gone

Etoile still summons if you got dropleted. You can either summon a bacha to explode a board on your opponents turn or you summon a choir that has a continuous effect that keeps it from being destroyed and has a burn/destruction effect. Also if they destroyed your etoile then bacha you can use bacha to summon etoile back

@IJustFizzed you are talking about 2 decks out of the entire meta. flamberge might be able to attack over, but the special summon effect is still going to happen. What ever you special summon isn't going to be under droplets effects.

I played Melodious since it's inception and way back when, Aria and Elegy stall in terms of Special Summoned way back when. And now that the support is here with the Link and many others, deck can explode.

I am so happy that Melodious is becoming viable. I remember putting all of my Duel Links gems into the set with them when it came out there. I knew the deck was probably bad, everyone knew, but I digged the art so much that I went for them anyway.

@@JuanGonzalezZzZzZz... melodious as a pure deck is a fair deck. the problem is when people use it as an engine that gets to an omni negate and apollo by the 5th summon without even using your ns. the trade off is that its a fairly large engine that runs bricks.
