Hey Glazer. First off, I really like the gameplay to assist with the power of the deck. Probably too much effort but it would be great to see gameplay examples when you can! For Ross, I think it’ll be interesting to see how he performs. I see a lot of potential for exactly the reason you showed in the Hela deck. He doesn’t seem to fit Surtur unless you really need a specific 10 power (like Starbrand).

My take on TTR is simple, I only get him with tokens if he’s busted in his home (Hela, Surtur), otherwise completely skip this week. I could see him buffed to a 2/3 or 1/1

I think Ross will be good! It's just a 2 cost and draw/deck thining will always find a home if the card is not omega bad. Also the gameplay shown at the beginning is something neat! Maybe not for every video but for decks that have a specific combo or are hard to play

I feel Ross can be good in certain decks. Card drawing is really powerful so he can potential be very useful in some cases

Did finish my infinite push with Junk Hand. It's a big advantage against bots to be a deck like Victoria Hand where you can play hood, mirage, eat them all with Misery, play Hand+Frigga, and then turn 6 play like Hand+2 demons+a mirage card or two and dump a huge amount of power on turn 6 so they don't retreat.

Thunderbolt Ross is going to be a difference maker in his synergistic homes. Anything beyond that falls into my personal approach to card acquisition: collect as many cards as you can because Second Dinner is invested in keeping us happy with our purchases. Plus, anything can be improved via OTA updates.

My gut reaction is that TTR is going to be pretty meh in the way that Hulkling is. Surtur, like you said, doesn’t need him as that deck already has a zillion 10s. I’ll be happy to be wrong for the first time ever though! 😅

Reflecting on the QOTD thing, I agree with both points. Barely been getting any 8 cubers on my climb, bots actually are retreating more often. Also it's definitely much harder to snap with confidence, the new era of bots is part of that but as you say, predicting power is much tougher - although on that, trying to stay positive and not be all "Snap's cooked", we'll all be better at maybe not knowing exact numbers but getting the vibe, the range etc.

I think Ross is a cool pickup because his ability is pretty unique. Extra draws are always a plus, in my opinion. His Spotlight buddies aren't really that great, especially with Nebula heading to Series 3; but Blink seems solid in here niche. Definitely one to think about but I'm going to hold my Resources For the end of the week review

Personally, Ross is on a similar boat as moonstone was when we first looked at her - they'll get better as time goes on. Ross feels to me as one of the best draw engines on Marvel Snap due to the fact that he's cheaper than a crystal and he has targeted draw, meaning that depending on how you build your deck you know exactly what he'll pull right away. Only downside is that it relies on the opponent to float so if there's too much Wiccan on the meta Ross gets weakened significantly. Currently Ross is on a awkward meta that doesn't favors drawing big idiots so if we ever see a buildaround 10+ power card that we want to play/combo with, expect to see Ross on that decklist.

Having nebula and blink made me not even consider TTR much but seeing the nebula drops thing made it even easier. I do think he has potential, so if he ends up an A or S, I might just have to bite the bullet. I don’t see that so far besides just being a fine card

Agree on your take QOTD Glazer, on top of that, there are less bots, in 70-90, honestly I am struggling in the 80ies, as in all previous seasons I was nearly in Infinity in the same timeframe. Ladder is a chore to me this season, not sure if it worth my time. I also miss too many meta cards, and 7/10 games are Sam or IP, at least they should release the former season pass rapidly.. just my take and I am aware I am not a great player

Imo, Ross is technically broken with his effect, but still since he's limited to one archetype he's worth getting for anyone who has Surtur cards. The other spotlights aren't bad at all, the Nebula variant is beautiful and we also got Blink!

I’m excited for Ross and will be spending keys to get him. I think a card that has targeted draw, potentially multiple times per game, is just going to be good. Obviously not in every list, but most decks that run one or more 10+ power cards should consider him.

I was trying for Blink but got Ross before her. The jury's still out. He's made for the Big Strong decks but I'm interested in ng him to a test Discard deck like what you showed. Maybe he'll work for me that way.

I think Thadeus will make a minor splash. Card draw won’t be terrible, but Adam Warlock and Cystal are proof that it isn’t game breaking by itself.

Except that Thunderbolt is specific card draw which is much better. Crystal is bad because the other player benefits also. Adam needs no explanation.

My impressions on Ross. Power wise, a little middling and has to be slightly built around so I would be surprised to see him everywhere (after the initial few weeks of people trying stuff). Design wise I like him though, drawing cards is fun but in Snap especially is very powerful so most of the cards that allow us to draw are not great or very hard to guarantee (Adam, Crystal = bad, Nico = not a guarantee) and I think Thunderbolt leans towards the Nico end but unlike Nico you are in more need to build around and also if he doesn't trigger, and I think he should fwiw, he doesn't really do much at all. I still think he can fit in Surtur but I agree that the 2 drop slot, especially after the last two season pass cards, is highly competitive. I also like the Surtur/Scream decks so there are a couple of other powerful 2 drops I'd rather play.

I was honestly thinking to stick Ross indecks which only run a key few 10 drops as a tutor card of sorts, I don't think he'll be meta unless some really strong 10+ drops release. Might be good in Arishem since it helps you not worry about drawing power.

I think Ross is strong enough with draw acceleration alone. It can be used in a variety of decks.

I think he is a good card, if wiccan cant always hit its curve this card will usually be a 2/2 draw a card, that's very strong

Ross will be good when Affliction is back in the meta and the Luke Cage split/nerf happens. Aside from that, deck thinning is excellent, but relying on your opponents unspent energy isn't the best. I think it will be a solid card, but not broken.

Any draw card is scary. Thunderbolt makes the most simple decks more consistent. I am a little horrified of the closest meta, but my two best bodies are right beside me. (Shang and Grandmaster)

Question about Ross: Meh. A lot of cards coming out that revolves around who spends or doesn't spend energy. I find that kind of interesting. The card itself, I don't think I'll personally be getting it. And I have quite a lot of resources. I skipped Torres too and am skipping Thaddeus too.

Thunderbolt Ross seems ok, but opening for him with Blink and Nebula is dismal for me personally. I think TTR is slept on by a lot of people, especially in the context of Black Knight Sera type decks or Dracula decks with Ghost Rider that want to hit Infinaut (or Black Cat) and get value out of seeing them sooner.

Thunderbolt Ross could be a great card, but in a few decks. Drawing is great, but you need many 10s to make him useful and not so many decks have many 10s (hela, surtur and maybe Arishem, unfortunately...)

Think a lot of people are going to get Ross for the Surtur deck but think he's going to be worse than the default in those decks so super bait. May find a home somewhere else but even with draw being a crazy rarity don't think this card has the juice.

Peace and love. Already won a pass but love answering the questions for the algorithm. If I win give it to,someone else. I am passing on Ross. He reminds me of Bruce Banner another card I skipped. Playing him on anything other than turn 2 makes him a wasted spot in a deck. They should have made him a reverse Bruce Banner where he is a 2/1 that has a 25% chance of becoming Red Hulk if your enemy has unspent energy on a turn.

I think Thunderbolt Ross is only gonna fit into a few, small decks and be pretty meh. I think High Evo could be another place to put him, but he might clash with Armor’s spot in the list. 🤔Not quite sure who the cut would be if running him with HE. I can see how he can be helpful in drawing Hela. I still think he’s gonna be meh even in that deck; kinda like how Bruce Banner was very meh even for High Evo decks.

Ttr will only get better as more 10 plus power cards come out. I'll be getting him. You're misunderstanding what he does. He isn't drawing from your deck, he's drawing from the entire pool in snap.
